Jacob Beachy Fund
Providing financial assistance to children with developmental impairments through hippotherapy and therapeutic riding.
Jacob's Fund provides financial assistance to children with developmental impairments who would benefit from physical, occupational, or speech therapy, particularly through hippotherapy, in order to improve their quality of life.
Today is the last day of our Giving Tuesday fundraiser. Help children with developmental impairments walk, talk, interact with their families and friends, and have the best possible life. Using the horse as a therapy tool, physical, occupational, and speech therapy can result in almost magical results. It was for our Jacob, and we'd like to see it happen for many more children. A donation of any amount helps make children's dreams come true.
Each child who receives a Jacob's Fund scholarship for hippotherapy or therapeutic riding reminds us of our Jacob, in whose memory we do this. Children from Massachusetts to Georgia to Ohio and Indiana grew stronger, overcame obstacles, and achieved developmental milestones this year, just like Jacob did. And just like Jacob, this almost magical therapy using a horse brought smiles to their faces and joy to their families. Your donation can make that happen to the children we help.

Behind every scholarship Jacob's Fund provides are professional teams like the one at McKenna Farms Therapy Services who are constantly learning and working to give children with developmental impairments the skills they need to live their best possible lives. We are thankful for their care and dedication.

October is National PT Month and we are so incredibly fortunate to have four pediatric PTs at McKenna Farms. Kaylee, Megan, Abbie, and Tori (not pictured) -- thank you for what you do every day to help our clients reach their fullest potential!

Jacob Beachy Fund has been partnering with Breeze Hill, just a few minutes from our home, for three years now. We love visiting and watching the children who receive Jacob's Fund scholarships benefiting from hippotherapy in this peaceful, beautiful place. Two of Jacob's Fund's kids graduated from hippotherapy at Breeze Hill this August.

The gentle horses who help children through hippotherapy and therapeutic riding earn, and get, a gentle retirement. Thank you, Willow!
🌟 A Fond Farewell to Willow 🌟
After seven incredible years of service, our beloved Willow is retiring from her work at McKenna Farms. ❤️
Willow has been a cornerstone of our Hippo/TR program, spreading joy, comfort, and unwavering support to countless individuals. Her gentle spirit and calm demeanor have made her a favorite among riders and staff alike.
As Willow enters this well-earned retirement, we are filled with gratitude for the countless lives she has touched. She’ll be moving to a peaceful new home where she’ll be showered with love and enjoy a life of relaxation and care. We couldn’t be happier for her next chapter! 🐴💕
Join us in celebrating Willow’s retirement on Wednesday, January 8th! Stop by to give her some “good girl pats,” share sweet notes, and show her how much she’s loved. Feel free to post a thank you message to her here and we will be sure she gets it!
Alayna: the name means bright shining light. How perfectly right it is for this little girl! From the moment we first saw her at Triangle Therapy Services, we were captivated. She’s a tiny powerhouse who just turned two this summer, with soft dark curls and sweet loving eyes. Here she is, riding backward with amazing balance, and with her occupational therapist Shannon, and a visitor who really wanted to hold her.

An African proverb says it takes a village to raise a child. For Jacob Beachy Fund's kids, a group of caring professionals is part of that village. Congratulations to Alice McSwain and Dr. Rae, and tons of gratitude for the teams that make make hippotherapy and therapeutic riding possible. You make children's lives better. Thank you.

From our memories:
You may think you would never want to kiss a horse, but once you see what hippotherapy and therapeutic riding can do for a child, you might easily change your mind.
