🏰 What if some of Disney’s most iconic worlds were inspired by real architecture?
From fairytale castles to historic landmarks, many of the settings seen in Disney films trace their origins to real places around the world. These architectural references transform cultural heritage, local identity, and historic design into the imaginative environments that have shaped generations of storytelling.
By comparing the animated worlds with their real-life counterparts, we can see how architecture influences narrative, atmosphere, and visual memory, bridging the gap between fantasy and reality.

A Legacy Written in Geometry📌
Iranian architecture stands among the most sophisticated expressions of geometry in the built environment. Across mosques, palaces, caravanserais, and historic houses, intricate patterns, structural logic, and craftsmanship come together to create spaces of remarkable depth and beauty.
From the cascading complexity of muqarnas to the precision of glazed tilework and carved brick façades, every element contributes to a larger architectural composition. Repeating stars, polygons, and floral motifs unfold across domes, iwans, courtyards, and vaults, transforming mathematics into spatial experience.
More than decoration, these geometries shape light, proportion, and movement, creating environments that remain as captivating today as they were centuries ago. Their influence continues to inspire contemporary architects, designers, and computational thinkers around the world.

Every crack deserves a second chance 💠
Flacking: The Art of Healing Cracks by Ememem (.flacking)
Born on a broken sidewalk in 2016, Ememem has turned street repairs into a poetic craft he calls “flacking”, from flaque, meaning puddle. His mosaic patches brighten damaged pavements, blending street art, contemporary art, and the spirit of kintsugi.
These polychrome interventions break the monotony of asphalt, revealing fragments that feel both ancient and unexpected. They prompt questions about how we care for what’s damaged, and how our public spaces can hold more tenderness and imagination.

✨ A century after Antoni Gaudí’s passing, the Sagrada Família reaches one of the most significant moments in its history.
For the first time, the newly completed Tower of Jesus Christ was illuminated above Barcelona, marking the completion of the basilica’s tallest and most symbolic structure. Rising 176 meters, the tower is crowned by a monumental cross and stands as the highest point of Gaudí’s lifelong masterpiece.
To celebrate the occasion, a spectacular drone and light show filled the sky, tracing the figure of Gaudí and displaying the phrase: “First love, then technique” — a reflection of the values that shaped his architectural vision.
The inauguration marks a major milestone in the ongoing construction of the Sagrada Família, more than 100 years after Gaudí’s death and over 140 years after work on the basilica first began.
