Oh sweet mare, we’re sorry you weren’t able to be with us longer! Juniper, you were such a special, stoic mare. We’re sad to share that unfortunately she passed away this morning after a rapidly progressing colic. Spoiling her the past two months has been an honor. Loving horses can be SO hard sometimes. ❤️

We’ve been pretty busy the past few weeks… here are 3 of the reasons why!
Meet the newest members of our farm family; Juniper, Maple and Maple’s c**t who was born May 25th!
These three still need lots of TLC but have been settling in nicely after visits from our vet and farrier.

We’re so happy to have assisted this little guy in finding his ! His original finder and foster reached out to us asking for help in finding placement and we couldn’t be happier with how *purr*fect his new family is for him!

Cupcake has not been liking these difficult weather conditions recently. The heat, humidity and poor air quality makes it difficult for her because we are already actively battling her PPID and the lasting effects of her past obesity and laminitis episodes. Not only does this special pony get routine bloodwork, prescription medications, a special diet, special supplements, acupuncture, farrier visits every four weeks, and access to padded stall with deep bedding, a mister and two industrial fans…..she also gets routine body clipping and enjoys standing in front of her fan so she can feel like a model 💗

With wildfire smoke creating poor air quality across the U.S, the AVMA is reminding the public that wildfire smoke can pose serious health risks not only to people, but to pets and livestock as well.
Smoke from wildfires contains fine particles that can cause respiratory issues in animals, especially those with pre-existing heart or lung disease. Pet owners should keep a close eye on their animals during poor air quality events and contact their veterinarian if any of the following signs appear. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4wqddp3
