One simple tool can save hours of frustration.

Facebook Description

Sometimes it's not the big expensive tools that make the biggest difference.

This staple remover is one of those tools we use all the time when working on upholstery projects. Whether we're rebuilding a golf cart seat, restoring an interior, or repairing upholstery, it helps us remove staples quickly while reducing the chance of damaging the material underneath.

In this short video, Eddie explains why we use it and why it's become a regular part of our toolbox.

We also talk about our CopyCat Tool Links where you can find many of the same tools and products we use in the shop.

What's the one tool in your garage or workshop that you wish you had discovered years ago?

One of the cheapest parts on this seat caused one of the biggest problems.

Facebook Description

These rusty staples tell the whole story.

When Eddie started removing the upholstery from this golf cart seat, he quickly found that the wrong staples had been used. What seemed like a small decision years ago resulted in corrosion, extra labor, and a seat that didn't hold up the way it should have.

The funny thing is most people never think about staples.

But in upholstery, the right materials matter just as much as the finished appearance.

In this short video, we explain why staple selection is important and how using the correct products can help your upholstery last longer.

Have you ever found a shortcut on a project that ended up causing bigger problems later?

Most projects don't come into the shop neat, organized, and ready to go.

Facebook Description

One of the biggest misconceptions about automotive repair and customization is that every project starts with a complete vehicle and a clear set of instructions.

The reality?

A lot of projects arrive half-finished, partially disassembled, missing parts, or modified by someone else who never completed the job.

Before we can even begin fixing the problem, we often have to figure out what happened, what's missing, and how it's supposed to go back together.

This golf cart project is a perfect example of the kind of real-world challenges technicians face every day.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't the repair—it's undoing someone else's mistakes.

Have you ever bought or inherited a project that turned into a mystery?

Everybody says "just pay more" ... but the reality is a lot more complicated than that.

The automotive industry is facing challenges unlike anything we've seen before.

Customers are frustrated by rising repair costs.

Business owners are struggling with overhead, insurance, taxes, and finding skilled help.

Employees want better opportunities, better pay, and better work environments.

DIY enthusiasts are asking why professional work costs what it does.

The truth is, we're all more connected than we think.

In this video, we discuss what's really happening inside today's automotive industry, why skilled labor matters, and why Atomic Autoworks Garage is committed to helping bridge the gap between customers, employees, business owners, and the DIY community.

Whether you own a shop, work in the trades, build your own projects, or simply love cars and trucks, this conversation affects all of us.

What's the biggest challenge you think the automotive industry faces today?

"What if I told you that customers, employees, business owners, and DIY enthusiasts all want the exact same thing—but the automotive industry has never been more divided than it is today?"

The podcast is back... and this time we're getting back to our roots.

The trades changed our lives.

That's why we're bringing the podcast back.

Over the years we've met incredible people in the automotive, motorcycle, truck, marine, restoration, and customization industries. Business owners, technicians, manufacturers, suppliers, builders, and everyday enthusiasts all have valuable stories and experiences worth sharing.

This season we're focusing on the people, businesses, and opportunities that make these industries great.

Our goal is simple: help bridge the gap between business owners, employees, future tradespeople, and DIY enthusiasts. We want to have real conversations, share real experiences, and help more people understand the opportunities that still exist in the skilled trades.

If you've ever wanted to learn more about the industry, start a career in the trades, improve your skills, or hear honest conversations from people who do this every day, this podcast is for you.

The trades need good people. The next generation needs good mentors. We're hoping to help connect the two.

Who would you like to see us interview this season?

Every shop owner we talk to says the same thing... and it's not what the internet is telling you.

We've spoken with body shops, restoration shops, mechanics, dealerships, and specialty automotive businesses throughout our area.

Almost every one of them is struggling.

But the reason may not be what you've been hearing online.

There's a much bigger conversation happening about skilled labor, profitability, rising business costs, and the future of the trades.

This short clip is a preview of a much larger discussion coming soon to Atomic Autoworks Garage.

Do you think the biggest problem is finding employees... or finding skilled employees who can actually help a business survive?

Local Car Shows: We Have Free Goodie Bags Available!
We have approximately 26 automotive goodie bags sitting here that we'd much rather see in the hands of car enthusiasts than collecting dust on a shelf.

If you're organizing a local car show, cruise night, fundraiser, charity event, automotive gathering, or motorcycle event and would like some free giveaway items for attendees, we'd be happy to help.

These bags feature some of our older Atomic Autoworks Garage logos, but they're still great items that can be used as door prizes, giveaways, or participant gifts.

As we continue growing, we'll also be producing new merchandise featuring our updated branding that we'll be giving away at future events.

Our goal has always been to support the automotive community, local businesses, and the enthusiasts who keep this hobby alive.

Do you know of a local event that could use a few free giveaways?

The response to our upholstery course caught us completely off guard.
A few weeks ago we launched our free online upholstery course with one simple goal: help people learn the trade and share some real-world shop experience.

The response has been incredible.

The comments, questions, stories, and support from viewers have shown us that there are still a lot of people who want to learn, improve their skills, and better understand what it's really like to work in the trades.

In our latest video, Ed talks about where we've been, why the channel changed direction, and how the success of the upholstery course is helping shape the future of Atomic Autoworks Garage.

More importantly, we discuss why we feel a responsibility to keep helping people who genuinely want to learn.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. We appreciate every comment, every question, and every person who takes the time to watch our videos.

What would you like to learn next?

Most people would try to sell it.

We're giving it away.

Years ago, this Volvo station wagon was brought in with plans of becoming a project vehicle. At the time, we had younger employees who were excited about the idea and it seemed like a fun build.

Fast forward to today, and priorities have changed. With limited time, limited shop space, and plenty of projects we are truly passionate about, we've decided it's time for someone else to enjoy this car.

So here's the deal...

It's FREE.

No raffle.
No contest.
No gimmicks.

First come, first serve.

If you're a Volvo enthusiast, looking for a project car, or just appreciate a classic wagon, check out the full video on YouTube for the details.

Sometimes the right move isn't starting another project... it's helping someone else start theirs.

What would you do with a free Volvo wagon?
