We serve Clarke County, Frederick County, Warren County, Shenandoah County, Page County and the City of Wi******er with free adult basic education and ESOL classes. We have morning, afternoon and evening classes available.

There will be a hiring fair at Shenandoah University from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on May 8th.

This is a free event and is open to the public. More than 80 employers will be present from Wi******er and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, and Warren. Employers are hiring for full-time and part-time positions.

Free services are also available, including resume workshops, mock interviews, and free professional headshots! If you need help working on your resume before the event, send it to [email protected] and an employment professional will provide feedback and suggestions.

Spanish translators will be available at this event.

The Employer Expo Hiring Fair will be held on May 10 from 2pm to 6pm at the Jim Barnett Park Rec Center in Wi******er, VA. Come out and meet with representatives from 80+ local companies who are looking for new employees!

This event is free and open to the public. Spanish translators will be available.

Sharon speaks about our FREE classes that help students improve academic, English language (ESL), and workplace skills. We are proud to serve the City of Wi******er and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren. Classes are held at local schools, churches, and libraries throughout the region.

At Laurel Ridge Community College Adult Education, we are thankful for the students, instructors and partners that make our classes possible!

We are also thankful for photos from from Kelsey Myers, one of our veteran instructors! Kelsey teaches at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wi******er, one of our many local partners that make it possible for us to offer free classes in the communities we serve. We’d like to extend a special thank you to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church for kindly providing free childcare for our students!

Kelsey also teaches a workplace English class at the Sysco Redistribution center in Front Royal. We are thankful for the opportunity to work closely with Sysco and other local employers to offer free onsite workplace English classes that address the unique needs of each business!

Interested in joining our classes? Registration has begun for the spring semester! Students can now register for online GED, ESL, and Civics classes at laurelridge.edu/adulted. Students interested in online classes must register no later than December 5th. We have also finalized registration dates for our in-person classes, which will begin in January. The classes we offer wouldn’t be possible without our teachers! Our team of 29 highly qualified and dedicated instructors (and a career coach!) served over 600 students last year. They are excited to meet you and help you make a plan to achieve your goals.

Isabel Freiburger recently passed her U.S. Citizenship exam after studying English and Civics with us. Way to go!
