Yesterday Comptroller Sean Scanlon hosted a press conference about the expansion of the paraeducator health insurance subsidy plan that will assist over 6,000 paras with co-payments. Our paras - the backbone of our schools - testified and wrote to their legislators in support of this needed lifeline. We thank all paras for their dedication to student achievement and our elected leaders who support their fight for respect and dignity.
