On August 26, 2021 a su***de bomber detonated at Abbey Gate, killing 13 U.S. service members and over 170 Afghans, and severely injuring many more. In the incident, Kelsee Lainhart sustained a spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and extensive soft tissue damage from shrapnel. Despite her injury, Kelsee is determined to rebuild and is now a part of Adaptive Training Foundation’s Class 34 sponsored by @usaa . She is participating in the 10 week redefine program that consists of high intensity workouts, mental training, and becoming the best version of herself - all made possible by USAA and their service to our Veterans.
