There are still some spots available for the FREE 55 and over art class series we're offering starting on Thursday, August 6. It's a four week class that ends on August 27. It's an hour and half long, from 1 to 2:30 pm each Thursday.

It's fascinating photographic printing process called cyanotype printing that was invented in 1842. It produces beautiful photos or a camera free way of reproducing items you want to remember. Come check it out! We guarantee it will be a conversation starter with other art lovers.

This week Miss Jenny is reading stories about feelings. We all have them. Some are better than others. Let's not talk about Mondays... So come on by this week and we'll see how Miss Jenny demonstrates some of the great ones -- like how she makes everyone very happy when she sings and reads her wonderful stories! It's the first time we've hosted The Idaho Reptile Zoo, so we can't wait for their interactive and engaging visit. Are you 55 or older and looking for a fun art experience different than painting, drawing or crafts? Well, we've got you covered! It's a perfect week to promote the letter P at Storytime! Miss Jenny promises to keep it playful and like a party -- whoo whoo! So plan your week to stop by Storytime and learn more words that start with P. Everyone is welcome to attend, not just pre-schoolers and we guarantee Miss Jenny will have fun stories to read.

In keeping with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, this month's library book club topic/theme is the American Revolution. The book club will meet on Tuesday, 7/21 at 5:30 here at the library. Please find a fiction or non-fiction book to read (we can help you find one if you'd like) set in the American Revolution time period. Then attend the meeting and let everyone know what you did or didn't like about the book. Easy peasy and everyone gets recommendations about a new book to read. We hope to see you there!

It's a great day for you and your kids to stop by the library. From Noon to 2 pm we'll have our thousands of lego bricks out in the main area of the library for everyone to get really creative. And the best part is, our air conditioning works great!
