We're sorry to announce Miss Jenny is not feeling up to leading Story Time this week. She'll be back next week when the all the stories will be about the letter T.

Tomorrow, Friday, 9/18, is our monthly drop-in Lego Day here at the library. All ages are welcome to come by. We have thousands of Lego pieces, so you can build and build (only until 2 pm however so we don't end up with the Lego Taj Mahal). So come by between Noon and 2 pm. We hope to see you here!

This week's Storytime is all about the work everyone does each day. Come learn about the various jobs people choose when they grow up. Learning can be a job too! Please come to Storytime at 10:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The stories are the same all three days. Miss Jenny would love to see you there! All pre-schoolers (and their older siblings too) are welcome. The library is located at 307 Cornell Street in Middleton.

Not your typical book club, the Library's club is unique and lively. Everyone reads their own book based on that month's topic or theme. Then everyone comes and talks about their book - why they loved it (or didn't), what made it a serious or fun read, what they learned from it and more. The September Book Club book to read is a biography about any type of artist or musician. Have you always been intrigued by some of the great dancers of past years? What about sculptors? Classical guitarists? Find your interest and pick a book. We hope to see you at 5:30 on Tuesday, 9/15.

The Middleton Public Library is offering Financial Literacy for Kids weekly classes starting the week of September 14 at the Trolley Station event center. There are three different classes based on your child's age - Money Foundations for ages 8 to 10 (4 weeks in length), Money Skills for ages 11-13 (six weeks in length), and Personal Financial Planning for older kids ages 14 to 18 (8 weeks in length). The fee for each session is only $15 per child for materials.

Save the date! The Fall Friends of the Library book sale is coming up. The sale starts on Thursday, October 1 and concludes on Saturday, October 3. Come on the first night for the best choices of hundreds of books and DVDs. There are lots of kids books and every genre of book you can think of - fiction, action, romance, thriller, murder mystery and so much more! We hope to see you there.

We had a great Summer Reading Program this year! If you participated, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We love seeing everyone here in the library each week when you pick up your prizes or drawing tickets. We want you to know there are local businesses (and private individuals) who help make the program great by donating prizes. Please note that these businesses show how much Middleton means to them by supporting our local children. So we hope you support these local organizations in return.
