Yesterday we had another opportunity to bring a friend to school in a police car. She was one of two winners for this prize and we had fun talking on the way to school.

Last week Officers Peska and Abu-Ghannam completed a comprehensive 40 hours of Crisis Intervention Training that was offered through a partnership with Ravenwood Health and the Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services. We appreciate that this training is available each year because it teaches our officers:
*How to safely interact with people experiencing a crisis.
*How to apply practical de-escalation techniques.
*How to leverage local resources and services to reduce arrests.
*How to encourage people in crisis to seek treatment.
Thank you to all of the instructors and people behind the scenes that helped make this training a success.

It’s that time of year again when people are out shopping for the holidays and enjoying the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately this guy had to be added to the Naughty List today. Hopefully he has learned his lesson. Happy Holidays.
