SCORE, LLC is seeking a medical receptionist/ physical therapy aide to join our team at our Woodbury location. The Receptionist is the central point of communication among patients and providers. The candidate must be able to work independently. Strong computer skills a must. Experience with EMR a plus. Duties include but not limited to:

Greeting all patients
Handling all incoming calls
Daily duties include scheduling appointments and initial evaluations, taking initial intake information, data entry, faxing and scanning documents, checking email etc.
Collecting co-payments
Calling patients: new patients to schedule and those who have missed appointments
An organized, responsible, detail-oriented individual who is accountable for taking in new patients and ensuring all of their appointments are appropriately scheduled, authorizations/Reevaluations received
Contacting insurance companies to verify benefits and request authorizations
Printing of medical records (as requested)
Strict patient confidentiality
Maintain supplies inventory
Assisting therapists with laundry, escorting patients into gym, making sure patients are comfortable and helping therapist to set up patients on machines, preparing hot packs/cold packs and helping to set-up exercise equipment as needed.
Performing any other tasks assigned by the office manager and director.

Employment Opportunity: Front Desk: Responsibilities include but not limited to answering phones, scheduling appointments, faxing, scanning, filing, checking in patients, and collecting copayments. Must be able to multi-task (handle multiple phones lines and check in/register patients at the same time). Applicant needs to be dependable and work well with others . MWF 7:30am to 11:30am and T/TH all day (hours will fluctuate on T/TH depending on therapist schedule). Possibly some Saturdays and vacation coverage. Hours may be subject to change based on the needs of the practice. Year round position. Experience in medical office and WebPT a plus.
