CCEA would like to address the two statements made in this clip of Clay County School Board Candidate, Erin Skipper:
1. Erin Skipper is an active opponent against the union. How does she expect Clay Educators to negotiate without a union? Individually, our voices would be far less organized and effective.
2. CCEA President, Vicki Kidwell is a 12-month employee and earns compensation equaling $74,365 annually.

The state of Florida has spent over half a decade fabricating competition among new and veteran teachers. The Teacher Salary Increase Allocation (TSIA) has consistently prioritized providing funds to only one set of classroom teachers. Our legislators annually decide on who will win and who will lose, while CCEA collectively bargains for any fairness that can be found.

Unions across Florida are experiencing what will soon be our reality with the PERC election. Every member must be active, educated, and vote. Preserving CCEA’s negotiated contract is the only way to ensure Clay’s educators are protected and supported. Clay County Education Association stands with United Teachers of Dade!
