MESSI FAMILY RELEASES STATEMENT ON JORGE MESSI’S HEALTH 🇦🇷

Lionel Messi’s family released an official statement regarding the health of his father, Jorge Messi.

The family confirmed that Jorge is currently under medical supervision, receiving treatment and showing positive signs of recovery within his clinical situation.

The statement also addressed the rumors and speculation that circulated after Messi’s emotional reaction during Argentina’s World Cup debut.

The family asked for privacy, respect and responsibility, making clear that any official updates will come only through their own channels.

A deeply personal moment for Messi and his family.

Respect above everything.

👀🇨🇩 "Honestly, not much, because we know he's no longer what he used to be."

DR Congo midfielder Noah Sadiki Mukau showed ZERO fear when asked if his team had a special plan to stop Cristiano Ronaldo. 😳

And after holding Portugal to a historic 1-1 draw and scoring their first-ever FIFA World Cup goal, the Leopards backed up the talk on the pitch. 🔥

No fear. No excuses. Just belief.

DR Congo didn't come to the World Cup to admire the stars—they came to compete. 💪🌍

🎙️😢🇸🇳Sadio Mané: "When it was my turn to audition there was an older man who looked at me as if I was in the wrong place. He asked me: "are you here for the audition?" and I said yes
"With those shoes? Look at them, how can you think of playing with them?", he told me.
In fact they were really shabby, old and broken.

Then he added, "And those shorts? Don't you have any soccer shorts?"
I told him that I was there with the best equipment I had and that I just wanted to play and demonstrate my qualities.
And when I went onto the field you should have seen the surprise in his face. He came to me and said: "I'll sign you right away, you'll play on my team."

I went hungry, survived hard times, played barefoot and didn't go to school.
I don't know what fun is, I've never gone to a party because I know that if I don't give everything, I'll never perform well on the pitch and I'll never achieve my goals.
Today, with what I earn, I can help others.

I built schools, a stadium, we gave clothes, shoes and food to people in extreme poverty. And then I donate 70 euros a month to all the inhabitants of a very poor area of Senegal, to contribute to the family economy.
Why would I want ten Ferraris, twenty diamond watches and two airplanes? What good are these things for the good of the world?

I can't even stand the Playstation, my classmates' main hobby. I've never used it, I think it's just a way to waste time and I don't want to waste mine unnecessarily."

🇺🇸🗣️ U.S. soccer coach Mauricio Pochettino says “American sports reward losers” after being asked about his World Cup team’s style of play.

“If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition?

American sports reward losers! But soccer is different. If you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach.

Also, the American player is disciplined, but with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.”

GHANA WINS IT AT THE DEATH!!

Just when the match seemed headed for a draw, Ghana found a late breakthrough against Panama.

Yirenki came off the bench and scored the decisive goal to give the African side a 1-0 win in their World Cup opener.

A dramatic finish — and an unforgettable moment for the player who replaced Thomas Partey, who was denied entry into Canada due to legal issues.

CAVANI’S TIME AT BOCA IS OVER 🇺🇾❌

After nearly three years with the club, Edinson Cavani has reached an agreement to part ways with Boca Juniors.

The 39-year-old forward was no longer in the new coach’s plans and had struggled for minutes in recent months due to recurring physical problems.

El Matador leaves Boca with 81 appearances, 28 goals and 3 assists.

⏪ After Cape Verde’s historic draw against Spain, Vozinha could not hold back the tears.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper had just produced a brilliant World Cup performance with seven saves, but his mother, Ana Candida Evora, was unable to watch him from the stands because of visa complications 😢

She could not afford the $15,000 bond required for Cape Verde residents to obtain a U.S. visa.

Once the story became public, congressional leaders and the State Department stepped in.

Now, Vozinha’s mother will be able to travel to the United States and watch him at the World Cup.

A beautiful story beyond the game.
