Not sure what happens at a first chiropractic visit?

At Besson Chiropractic, the process begins before any care does. Dr. Besson starts by learning what you are feeling, how it affects your work, training, sleep, and daily life, and what you want to get back to doing.

From there, a spinal and movement exam helps connect the symptoms with specific findings. X-rays may be considered when they are clinically appropriate not simply because someone is a new patient.

If chiropractic care is a good fit, the findings, recommended approach, and next steps are explained before treatment begins. Bring your symptoms, your goals, and every question you have.

Your posture doesn’t need to be perfect.

A supported workstation can reduce unnecessary strain but even a “good” posture can become uncomfortable when you hold it for too long.

The more useful goal is not to freeze your body in one ideal position. It is to create options:

- Start in a comfortable, supported position
- Keep your screen and frequently used items within easy reach
- Change position regularly
- Stand, walk, or gently move during the day
- Adjust your setup before discomfort keeps building

Try connecting movement to cues already in your routine: stand during a call, walk briefly at lunch, or change your chair before the final stretch of the workday.
