This research emphasizes the importance of detailed geometric modeling, advanced turbulence models (like SAS-SST), and rigorous validation with experimental data to achieve accurate CFD predictions.
A key aspect was the use of GridPro for spatial discretization, enabling the generation of high-quality, structured grids essential for capturing complex flow phenomena. The study demonstrates that transient blade row models outperform steady-state RANS methods for this application.
