This weekend is Mother’s Day in the United States and maybe even elsewhere. My mother has gone to heaven, but she is always with me and I love her and say her name every single day. What would we do without mothers and we wouldn’t even be born because it is the mothers who grow us in their bellies and give us life. So to everybody who has a mother whether she’s still with us or not, and to all the new mothers and to all the mothers that have brought many children into the world. I wish you a very happy beautiful Mother’s Day!💐💐💐💐💐💐🥰

Photograph by Maggie Steber. Out in the nighttime in the Everglades, the stars can be seen more clearly than in the city, even though they look small in this picture, but at least you can see them. And this tree was lit up with a red light because it’s so dark that you can run into things and the tree has the most elegant curve. Everglades is one of the most magical things about Florida. Every year in the Everglades, there is a time just once a year where you can drive out to the Everglades and the people who take care of the Everglades will take you in the middle of the night to see the stars and make sure you get back safe and sound. . .

Our beloved friend has passed away. Sara Terry has been so important in this world. She was hugely generous and moved so many people forward. She created the Aftermath Grant. She made important films. She was beloved by everyone who knew her and we will really miss her forever. We at Vll Foundation are completely heartbroken. Please keep her in your prayers. There’s nobody like her and we are grateful that she was our friend for many many years
