We believe well-trained legal advocates should be available to all people regardless of economic status, and to that end we are committed to 1) training lawyers to be more aware of and s

On Give Miami Day, allow us to (re)introduce ourselves:
At Community Justice Project we are movement lawyers, researchers, and artists supporting grassroots organizing for power, racial justice, and human rights.
We use innovative lawyering, advocacy, and creative strategies to advance justice and amplify the voices of directly impacted people in Miami and throughout Florida.
We are deeply and unapologetically committed to the Black and brown communities organizing in this state.

What does people power mean to you?
It is a question we ask in our work and in the exhibit, Demands: People Power in Miami.
In this exhibit we explore the history of grassroots organizing in Miami —from desegregation, youth movements in schools, housing justice to workers’rights.
The exhibit closes this Saturday, November 9th. Come by and anchor yourself in how Miami’s communities have and continue to come together and build together for change.
On view at the Little Haiti Cultural Center Art Gallery.
Special thanks to our community partner who’ve shared their archives and who are on the frontlines of moving Miami to be more just for us all: , , , , and .

🚨As Hurricane Milton approaches, Florida Rising is on the ground, preparing to support working-class families and Black and Brown communities across the state. In collaboration with partners, we’ve raised over $2 million in the past seven years to help those most affected, and we’re ready to act once it’s safe.
No one should face this storm alone—no community left behind. Donate today to help us provide essential aid and fight for equitable recovery.
