PSA: WOBC-91.5FM BLOCK PARTY

Every year your Oberlin College and Community radio station WOBC-91.5FM hosts their annual Block Party for the local community and students on campus, right here at our Park Street Park (Plum Creek Park) across from Firelands.

This year, the WOBC Block Party will be held on April 26th from 12-4pm.

The students and us community members working to organize this WOBC event, would like to invite you to table at Block Party: this could include bringing some of your wares to sell, or simply setting up an information booth to attract conversations with locals and college students.

Though we could not have the honor to service the youth as part of your 2025 Back-to-School Bash we wanted to post the pics from last year.

This day was amazing!
Even with our braking down our Mentor Barbers just decided to bring the barber chairs and their supplies out of the Change Rover and just setup under the pavilion alongside our Mentor DJ .

Once again we were able to deploy 2 Barber Workshops, a Dj Workshop, and our Talent4Change Magic City Director and Workshops Coordinator Marquis Gilbert which not only allowed us to service our youth in different ways but also employ 4 community mentors/service providers helping with positive social impact and economic growth.

Another successful Back-to-School event in the books!

Time: 8am-5pm (any amount of time you can volunteer)
Workshop: Stylist Boost (Youth Haircuts & Bookbag Giveaway)

Duties: assist lead organizer w/ haircut sign-ups, bookbag giveaway and pics

*Additional Volunteers needed for Parade and Toy Drive
