This morning, Jennyfer Grundler, our PR Account Manager, was on-site coordinating media coverage and creating connections at Friends of The Underline’s State of the Florida Dade Delegation Legislative Update, bringing together state legislators and community members for an important conversation about the issues impacting Miami-Dade.

As PR professionals, it’s always rewarding to support the conversations, partnerships, and initiatives that help strengthen our communities. We’re grateful to work alongside organizations like The Underline that continue to bring people together through civic engagement and collaboration.

Thank you to NBC 6 South Florida and CBS News Miami for amplifying this important event. As well as Eulois Cleckley, Lisle Bowen, Patrice Gillespie Smith, Meg Daly, Brianna Nespral, Heidi Alzate Kaufman, and more for their leadership.

Hotels invest heavily in beautiful lobbies and world-class amenities, but what happens when security is an afterthought?

Leesfield & Partners is taking that question to court in a $15 million civil suit against Radisson Resort in Miami Beach. This case, covered in The New York Times, shines a light on the consequences of inadequate security measures at hospitality properties, particularly in this circumstance where an intruder gained unchallenged access to the hotel's pool area and assaulted a Swedish family's young daughter.

Partner Justin Shapiro states that "Guests are usually looking at the grounds and facilities and not at the security measures," and that's exactly what this perpetrator capitalized on.

Leesfield & Partners is committed to holding institutions accountable when negligence causes real harm to real families.
