An investment group including Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake is planning to develop 600 acres in the equestrian community of Wellington.

The proposed development, called The Wellington, includes doubling the size of the Wellington International equestrian showgrounds, plus other amenities to round out the development, including:

JDS Development Group is nearing a deal to partner with Fontainebleau Development and secure more than $1 billion in financing to restart construction on Mercedes-Benz Places Miami in Brickell.

Planned as a 791-unit mixed-use tower at 1133 SW 2nd Avenue, the project is expected to exceed $2 billion in value and will feature the first-ever Mercedes-Benz-branded residences.

If finalized, the financing package would allow construction to resume and move the highly anticipated development closer to completion.

Grupo T&C, through affiliate Grupo T&C El Vedado LLC, has proposed a 62-story apartment and hotel tower.

The developer would demolish the 36-unit El Vedado condominium on the 0.8-acre site at 237 S.W. 13th St. and replace it with the 13th Edge tower. It would total 648,748 square feet, with 400 apartments, 400 hotel rooms and 234 parking spaces.

There would be a pool deck with a bar and outdoor lounge on the 8th floor for the hotel, and another pool and yoga lawn on the rooftop for the apartments.

🏠 Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a proposal aimed at reducing — and eventually eliminating — property taxes for many Florida homeowners, calling it a measure that could significantly impact residents across the state.⁠

If Florida voters approve House Joint Resolution (HJR) 1-F in November, the amount of your home's value that is exempt from certain property taxes would increase over the next two years.

✔️On Jan. 1, 2027, the homestead exemption would increase from the existing $50,000 to $150,000.
✔️One year later, in 2028, the homestead exemption would rise to $250,000.

For some homeowners, that could reduce non-school local property taxes to zero.

Residents who establish primary Florida residency on or before Dec. 31, 2026, would be eligible for the expanded exemption when it takes effect.

Planning a move to Florida? Don't wait past December 31, 2026.
Those who move to the state after that deadline would have to wait four years before qualifying for the full $250,000 exemption.
