Perception is in the eye of the
beholder~Most look at the diver's position on a crew as one of the least favorable. If you ask our divers, they beg to differ. The most common reason- while everyone else is sweating their tails off in South Florida's beaming sun, the diver is protected from it by the walls of the trench and cooled by the water.
By no means, whatsoever, am I discrediting the
difficulties that entail being a diver. It is incredibly challenging, and on Miami's "cold" mornings its perks are essentially nonexistent.
In this string, our diver is sealing the box up. Swipe to see a couple of the other guys in his crew mix the cement for him.

Trans Florida Development growing that stockpile one bucket at a time. This machine was down for a couple days for some TC, but she is back in action. There are many aspects of the dirt world where frugality can & should be exercised- we do not feel that maintenance is one of them. There are many pennies to pinch, you just have to know which and when. We rely heavily on these machines everyday & cannot afford a single minute of unexpected downtime. For this reason, our maintenance program is carte blanche (within reason). We pride ourselves in effectively keeping machines running efficiently longer than most would ever expect them to. Take care of the beast, and she will take care of you.

Trans Florida Development Training day with for one of our operators on this brand new 120. Carlos has been with us for over fifteen years & started out as a laborer. He is now the foreman on one of our road crews, and one of the best operators in our company. That is our preferred method- train our employees from the bottom up, let them learn, and watch them flourish as they make their way to the top. has been a phenomenal asset for us. Introducing this technology to operators that never even knew it existed is no easy feat, but they make it look as such.
