long time mechanic Russ Whitney just retired. The whole Harrison Team wishes him the best in retirement. Russ worked for years , tirelessly keeping our operation running.
Russ came to us by way of his son Clint who had started with us an oiler and who worked his way up to being an operator. At the time, we really needed a mechanic and Clint never stopped pushing for his dad. When we asked Clint what his dad was currently doing , he said he was a golf cart mechanic!! This, obviously, didn’t inspire a lot of confidence in us that hiring his dad would work out, but because of Clint we figured we’d give him a shot!! Well lo and behold Russell turned out to be diamond in the rough and one of the grittiest workers we’ve ever had . No job was ever below Russ, he definitely was not a prima donna. What he was a great team player and a fun character as well. Our shop won’t be the same without Russ there everyday, but we’re hoping he’ll still come around and help with some small projects part time. Thanks for your years of service Russ!!
