Coach Noriega had a very succesful athletic career in high school that provided him many accolades in various sports.
Rey Noriega was born and raised in Miami, Florida and played his high school baseball career at Southwest High School, where he lettered in Baseball, Football and Track. After his high school career coach noriega was drafted by the Chicago Cubs but decided to continue his education while pursuing his passion at the University of Miami. Credentials:

Upon retiring from professional baseball coach Noriega has made a living by working with some of the best talent in South Florida at the High School, Collegiate and Professional Level - Carlos Castillo, Jon Jay, Robert Andino, Raul Ibanez, Stephen Barton, Danny Rams, Denny Almonte, and Jeremy Cruz to name a few and these players provided him with the nick name "The Hit Doc". Coach Noriega also conducts various showcases and pre-draft workouts in South Florida and is highly respected within the baseball community.
