Earlier this month we had a chance to work with Pinecrest Gardens in Miami Florida on a unique project. They have outdoor events that have a need for video and slideshow capabilities. The problem is that the events are outdoors (rain or shine) and sometimes located in areas of the park that don’t have smooth paths to get there. They needed a large outdoor grade, all weather monitor with an “off-road” capable cart to traverse the parks many trails and survive.

Not shying away from a challenge, we were able to put together a system consisting of a 75” all weather SunbriteTV with all weather sound bar and a Bretford Explorer heavy duty display cart. This combination meets all their requirements and then some. The system also includes a BrightSign media player to display custom content and an HDMI wireless extender so presenters can connect their mobile devices and display them remotely on the monitor. At the beginning of February, we installed a new interactive exhibit for HistoryMiami based on their black oral history project (just in time for Black History Month!). The project explores the history of racial injustice in Miami’s diverse black communities. By using a Mimo Monitor’s touchscreen system with embedded Brightsign media player, you can select one of several oral history speakers and explore their story. This exhibit is an on-going project as it will be updated with new content as it becomes available.

We recently wrapped up a new project for Lion Country Safari!

We were asked to design and install a new background music system in their remodeled restaurant and gift shop. Both systems were based around Yamaha Commercial products such as mixer/amps and speakers. Working with our partners, Sound N Space, we completed the install in just one day. The restaurant has a wireless microphone for announcements and presentations while the gift shop uses an in wall remote to adjust the volume due to the audio rack being in another room. The install turned out great as you can see in the pictures.

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!

In November of 2023, we had our very first exhibition at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO (IAAPA) (https://www.iaapa.org/) in Orlando Florida. It was an amazing event where people from around the world stopped by our booth. Our booth was provided by Exponants (https://www.exponents.com/) with exhibits created by us to show & tell what we do and what we can create.

We had three main exhibits:

1. The HoloIdols Jukebox allowed you to choose one of six anime idols to transport into our 3D holographic display and sing & dance for you. The animations were provided by But Doc P**c with character art by Caitlyn Manthorpe.

2. AudioActive the 3D Sound Experience allowed attendees to select one of four virtual audio presentations and immerse themselves into new experiences using just their ears and their imagination. The presentations ranged from Travelog to Mystery to Horror and SciFi/Comedy. These presentations were played back on our Steampunk Radio, a device for tuning into other dimensions! This prop was created by us specifically for this show.

3. The AirTouch Interactive Button System allowed attendees to play with one of our presentation without having to touch anything. By simply hovering your finger over a button, you are able interact and by waving your hand over a button, you can perform “air swipes” to move the presentation along.

It was a great event, we made good contacts and had a lot of fun! If you have never attended an IAAPA trade show, you should!

A couple of weeks back we installed an outdoor PA System for WNC Nature Center in Western North Carolina. This Technomad system offers high fidelity sound while being completely weatherproof! Check out some pictures from the site and if you are ever in WNC, stop by the Nature Center and say Hi!

Have you ever wanted to send audio across long distances, but can't run a wire?

Last year, we assisted Florida Video Technologies with a project at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital where they had that same situation. We provided a solution from BARIX and Ubiquiti which allowed us to send high quality audio from one building to another via WiFi so they could hear announcements and background music in the other building. It ended up being a very quick and cost effective solution for the client.
