We use experience and insight combined with gut instinct. We explore the unique, we embrace the different, and use that knowledge to create something that will stand the test of time. It’s not about the size of the project, or the name of the client. It’s about creating work that works. And we’re only finished when everything has a purpose. Everything has meaning. Reduced to its essentials.
The Flowery signage system translates the brand into space: clean, graphic, and confidently restrained.
A mark built as a system, not a static symbol.
Vertical or horizontal, the identity flexes without losing its strength.

Branding a cannabis dispensary and letting nature lead.
The Flowery wordmark grows upward , stacked and vertical, echoing how the plant rises from the ground.
Fast forward 15 issues, the identity has positioned The Innovator not just as a communications tool, but as a cultural artifact in its own right.

The goal was to create a brand system that reflected Jayaram’s ethos and client base: fast-moving, culturally fluent and creatively ambitious. The identity needed to feel intellectually rigorous without being corporate, and expressive without feeling overly stylized. It had to speak to a broad creative audience — founders, artists, technologists — while reinforcing Jayaram’s credibility in both the legal and cultural arenas.

Back in 2019 Jayaram Law approached us with a unique challenge: design a visual identity for The Innovator, the firm’s flagship publication dedicated to the intersection of intellectual property law, culture and innovation. Unlike traditional law firm communications, The Innovator was conceived as an ongoing platform — a space to engage the creative communities Jayaram serves, from emerging artists to global brands.

The system positions Strang not just as a firm that practices modernism but as one that is carrying its torch, with integrity, continuity and care. The book captures this story, reframing Strang’s work as part of a living design tradition.
Spacing, weight and alignment were all determined by a strict underlying grid. The resulting wordmark is ordered but not cold, strong but not severe — a visual language that feels architectural in its own right.

The identity system mirrors the dramatic interplay of vertical and horizontal lines that define early modernist homes, many of which are echoed in Strang’s own portfolio. From layout structure to typographic rules, every element in the system is governed by balance, proportion and clarity.

Still can’t believe we pulled off a month-long pop-up café (our 20th anniversary exhibition!) in this beautiful space. Huge thanks to for being such a generous and gracious host. The memories (and caffeine) will linger for a while :-)
