Women In Leadership Miami is a grassroots organization created to empower women of color in Liberty City. We fight for a better community.
Within our community single-mother households are typical. Instances of domestic violence and sexual abuse are common. In addition many of these same women are also victims of disenfranchisement, unemployment, and housing discrimination. These hardships represent our "struggles" and it is theses complications that bond us in our fight. We are fighting for better lives for our selves, our children
