Pretty surreal moment for me and for ! Grateful to be featured in Wall Street Journal talking about what we’re seeing on the ground here in Miami.
What I shared in the article is exactly what we’re experiencing. The impact of Lionel Messi showed up right away. First weekend at Nu Stadium and now heading into the next match, you can already feel it building.
Our properties are booking at higher rates on match weekends, especially within driving distance of the stadium. People aren’t just coming for a game. They’re planning trips around it.
That’s a different kind of demand, and you don’t see it often. You also feel it across the city with jerseys everywhere and murals popping up. There’s a real energy around it right now.
Appreciate A***n Campo-Flores for including me. Great article!

I drove all the way to the edge of the Everglades today… just for lunch.
Brought my dad with me and made a quick day trip down to , and it ended up being one of those experiences that you will remember.
You’re literally at the end of the road. Nothing around you but water, mangroves, and wildlife. Then right there… a full lodge and restaurant doing real hospitality in the middle of it all.
What made it even more interesting for me is that it’s operated by I recently had their CEO, Nico Foris, on the podcast, so actually seeing it in person was awesome.
It’s easy to deliver great service in a major city.
It’s a whole different level when you’re doing it out here in

Working on has me looking at travel very differently right now.
I made a quick trip down to the edge of the Everglades today and walked through the glamping setup at .
These tents can go anywhere from about $75 to $150+ a night depending on the time of year, and they’re still pretty simple.
You have a bed, a fan, lighting, and a small deck to sit outside. Bathrooms are shared nearby, and the lodge is just down the road if you need anything.
What stood out to me is how it feels out there.
You’re surrounded by water, wildlife, and a kind of quiet that’s hard to find anymore.
That’s what people are really paying for.
Just something different from their everyday life that feels real.
Would you stay out here?

If you’re going to CocoCay, this is the one upgrade I’d book every time.
We got a South Beach cabana and it completely changed the day for our whole group.
What most people don’t realize is the price can be very different depending on when you book it. We reserved ours before getting on the island and paid almost half of what they were charging day-of. Even our server mentioned how good of a deal it was.
When you split it between 6 to 8 people, it becomes a pretty easy decision. And if you already have the drink package, you’re not spending extra on food or drinks since everything is brought right to you.
The biggest difference though is how the day feels.
Instead of rushing off the ship to grab chairs, worrying about someone moving your things, and walking back and forth for food and drinks, you have your own space the entire time. The beach feels private, the service is dialed in, and you can actually relax while still exploring the island.
I’ve done CocoCay both ways. This is the version I’d choose every time.
If you’re going with a group, book it early.

Great way to end the week by signing and shipping out copies of my book, Hospitality Unlocked, to a hotel team that’s investing in their people.
Proud of this one.

We spent the day driving every inch of our 25 acres for , side by side with our architect and landscape architect, mapping out what this experience will truly feel like.
Not just where things go… but how it all flows.
From the moment you arrive, to the paths you walk, to the last thing you see before you leave. Every turn, every view, every detail matters.
It’s one thing to look at plans.
It’s another to stand on the land, feel it, and start bringing it to life.
Days like this remind me why we’re building BAYA in the first place.
This is the part that gets me excited
One of my favorite things about building out is meeting with vendors, especially the ones that are local. I posted about our project and that I was looking for a unique yoga mat and this company and their founders reached out right away and have been doing a fantastic job of creating a unique yoga mat for us that we plan on having in all the rooms and also selling in our retail area check them out.

Tried something new last night and it reminded me what so many gyms are missing.
Community.
At Sila Miami we did a tough kettlebell workout under a thatched roof, then moved straight into sauna and cold plunge with the whole group.
No headphones.
No phones.
Just people pushing through something hard together.
And something interesting happens when you do that. Conversations start. You meet new people. You leave feeling stronger physically and mentally.
They’ve also built out a full recovery space with things like hyperbaric chambers, red light therapy, massage, and more.
Really inspiring to see what is building here and it’s giving me a lot to think about as we continue shaping the vision for .
If you’re in Miami, you should check this place out.
I left feeling incredible and can’t wait to go back as a member.

Stop number one on the 10 hotel coffee shops in 10 days challenge.
I had to go slightly outside Miami for this one. I kept hearing about it, so I drove up to Pier Sixty Six in Fort Lauderdale to see if the hype was real.
Remember the rules. I’m judging on three things: coffee presentation, food quality and creativity, and retail that actually makes you want to take something home.
First impression walking in? Strong.
The coffee presentation was clean and thoughtful. Not rushed. Not sloppy. You could tell someone cared.
Food ex*****on matched the setting. Quality ingredients, elevated but still approachable.
Retail was curated, not random. It felt intentional, not like leftover lobby merchandise.
Let’s just say this challenge is starting strong.
Nine more to go.
