Buona and John Fox are officially opening in Oak Creek, Wisconsin on Tuesday, August 11, bringing two beloved Chicago-born classics under one very delicious roof.

That means Buona’s slow-roasted Italian beef, Chicago-style favorites, burgers, fresh pasta, salads, pizza and more — plus Rainbow Cone’s iconic five-flavor cone, frozen treats and all the nostalgia that comes with a 100-year ice cream tradition.

Opening day comes with a little extra fun, too: the first 500 guests will receive a mystery envelope with a prize for a future visit, including chances to win Free Beef for a Year or Free Rainbow Cone for a Year.

To celebrate 85 years in Chicago, Chicago Italian Steakhouse is going full throwback with a limited-time anniversary menu honoring the dishes, flavors and traditions that helped make it one of the city’s most iconic dining rooms.

Available throughout August, the menu brings back a lineup of nostalgic favorites, including Bacon & Blue, Fried Ravioli, Walnut Cranberry Salad, Lobster Fra Diavolo and Pepper Steak.

It’s giving old-school Chicago. It’s giving red sauce and martinis. It’s giving “Sinatra would approve.”

Guest chefs César Murillo of Michelin-starred North Pond and Devon Quinn of Eden will create a hyper-seasonal feast inspired by farmer Oriana Kruszewski’s organically grown Asian pears, black currants, rare pawpaws and other Midwestern ingredients, paired with wines from Chris and Sarah Pittenger of Gros Ventre Cellars.
