New technology that makes donating surplus food easy for restaurants by just logging onto the Waste Management feature on their Toast POS system.
Food Rescue US x Toast collab to build this simple way to donate surplus food, track for tax deductions and work with with our network of dedicated volunteers who claim the donation rescue and direct deliver to local shelters, soup kitchens and Senior centers.

Today, we distributed Meal kits to 25 different receiving agencies and pantries in Miami Dade County!

Each of the Meal Pack Jambalaya kits are healthy, GF and non perishable.

9/11 Day in Miami/South Florida at Hard Rock Stadium
Turning a day of tragedy into a day of service. ❤️
Today over 600 volunteers packed 215,000 meals that went out to local shelters, pantries, food banks as part of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Food Rescue US South Florida volunteers helped pack meals, were part of the Event Support team,Table Captains, Greeters and more as we honored those lost and still suffering.
As a partner and beneficiary, Food Rescue US.soflo received over 50,000 meals for our network including The Salvation Army of Miami Joshuas Heart Foundation fnfacollaborative Village (FREE)DGE & Pantry Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry Village of Allapattah YMCA Family Center Lotus House Women’s Shelter Cornerstone Ministries International Centro Mater The Green Haven Project inc. and other hunger relief organizations we provide for.

Proud to represent and even prouder to see the compassion, joy and sense of community on what has been a heartbreaking day for 25 years.

Sunday Funday = Sunday Food Rescue with amazing volunteers from Temple Beth Sholom on Miami Beach Temple Beth Sholom and Social Justice Network at Temple Beth Sholom!
We needed 3 full cars to rescue all the surplus food that went directly to Overtown to The Green Haven Project inc. for their weekly community food distribution.
Same day delivery. Same day hunger relief. Fresh & nutritious!

Also, a second rescue of the day went to the Sisters of Mercy Crisis Shelter in Miami for their daily homeless meal program.
