Welcome CAVA to Doral!!! Tonight was our first day rescuing their awesome training meals before the Grand Opening Community Day on Sunday 9/27! 🏆

Today, we distributed Meal kits to 25 different receiving agencies and pantries in Miami Dade County!
Each of the Meal Pack Jambalaya kits are healthy, GF and non perishable.

9/11 Day in Miami/South Florida at Hard Rock Stadium
Turning a day of tragedy into a day of service. ❤️
Today over 600 volunteers packed 215,000 meals that went out to local shelters, pantries, food banks as part of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.
Food Rescue US South Florida volunteers helped pack meals, were part of the Event Support team,Table Captains, Greeters and more as we honored those lost and still suffering.
As a partner and beneficiary, Food Rescue US.soflo received over 50,000 meals for our network including The Salvation Army of Miami Joshuas Heart Foundation fnfacollaborative Village (FREE)DGE & Pantry Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry Village of Allapattah YMCA Family Center Lotus House Women’s Shelter Cornerstone Ministries International Centro Mater The Green Haven Project inc. and other hunger relief organizations we provide for.
Proud to represent and even prouder to see the compassion, joy and sense of community on what has been a heartbreaking day for 25 years.

Let’s GO! Today’s Super Rescuers are Jeanie & Ritchie! Spitting the donations to go to Carrfour/Royalton Supportive Housing and Allapattah Community YMCA!
Sunday Funday = Sunday Food Rescue with amazing volunteers from Temple Beth Sholom on Miami Beach Temple Beth Sholom and Social Justice Network at Temple Beth Sholom!
We needed 3 full cars to rescue all the surplus food that went directly to Overtown to The Green Haven Project inc. for their weekly community food distribution.
Same day delivery. Same day hunger relief. Fresh & nutritious!
Also, a second rescue of the day went to the Sisters of Mercy Crisis Shelter in Miami for their daily homeless meal program.

It’s not always pretty BUT it is pretty awesome how much food we recover EVERYDay! Thank you Ritchie for “being the rescue” and delivering this fresh, healthy fruit, vegetables, eggs and more to Carrfour Supportive Housing at The Royalton.

As Founding Site Director of FoodRescueUS-SoFlo, when visiting in CT, I had to grab an open Food RescueUS Fairfield County food rescue!

We got the call… 📞 from the chef team at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Food Rescue US South Florida & NourishMiami TO THE RESCUE! 🛟Partnering with Nourish Miami, we were able to keep over 1200 pounds of edible food from the landfills and into a community food hub to be broken down into individual meals for hunger relief organizations in underserved communities like Liberty City, Allapattah, Overtown and Little Haiti.
