Dr. Gayle Dakof and Dr. Cindy Rowe had the pleasure of visiting our Barnardo's UK colleagues this week, sharing a meal, exchanging insights, and deepening a partnership that truly matters. Proud to be part of work this meaningful and the incredible team behind it.

Some of the most meaningful work happens in the room, together. We recently had the privilege of spending two days at UCFS Healthcare with the MDFTR team, focused on strengthening clinical practice and deepening collaboration.

MDFTR brings family-centered clinical treatment directly to adults involved in child welfare, with therapists supporting recovery, repairing relationships, and building stronger family outcomes from the inside out.

What does it look like when a room full of people are all working toward the same goal? This.

We got together with Connecticut MDFR teams from Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc., Community Health Resources Middletown, CommuniCare CT, and Wheeler Health sites across Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Britain for two full days of didactic learning, role play, and real conversation about how to better support families navigating child welfare.

Memorial Day weekend is here, and that means pool parties, beach trips, and quality time with the ones you love most. ☀️

But with more time near water comes more risk, especially for little ones. Drowning is silent and fast, and it's one of the leading causes of accidental death in young children. Before you head out this weekend, make a plan:

1- Always have a designated adult watching children near water
2- Don't assume someone else has eyes on your child
3- Even strong swimmers need supervision
4- If your kids aren't in swim lessons yet, this is your sign

Enjoy the long weekend. Soak up every moment. Just stay close and stay watchful.

What a week in South Carolina with Dr. Cindy Rowe & our national trainer Alison Gensic! 🙌

On April 29th & 30th, we held site boosters at Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center and Anderson Oconee Pickens Mental Health Center strengthening the work happening on the ground.

On May 1st, we brought the full network together with the Division of Children, Adolescents, and Their Families, BHDD Office of Mental Health, and the SC Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities - Office of Substance Use Services for a day covering youth substance misuse interventions, therapist development, and more.

Grateful for every person who showed up, leaned in, and reminded us why this work matters.💙

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit the team at Andrus, and it was a reminder of why this work matters. Real change happens in community. We're proud to be part of that effort.
