💚✨💬 You’re invited to our June Ask the Expert speaker meeting!

Join us on Thursday, June 25th, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for a meaningful Pride Month conversation titled “Coming Out and Mental Health: The Emotional Journey.”

We’re joined this month by Melissa Cruz, LMHC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in South Florida at Buxani Counseling Care, who will help guide this important conversation.

This presentation explores the emotional and mental health journey of coming out, helping us better understand identity, sexuality, and gender as deeply personal and ongoing experiences. It also highlights the challenges many LGBTQ+ individuals may face, including shame, rejection, family dynamics, cultural stigma, and minority stress.

Alongside these realities, we’ll also focus on hope and healing, including practical tools for coping, building safety, finding support, and creating affirming environments where individuals feel seen, accepted, and empowered.

This event is free and open to all, especially welcoming to anyone looking to better understand, support, or engage in conversations around mental health and identity.

📅 Date: Thursday, June 25th
⏰ Time: 6:00–7:00 pm
👉 Register now: Bit.ly/AskTheExpertJune2026

We look forward to learning and connecting with you. 💬✨💚

💙✨ The impact of NAMI Miami-Dade is best told by the people whose lives have been touched by our programs, support groups, education, and community.

Today, we’re sharing stories from members of our NAMI Miami-Dade family whose experiences remind us why this work matters and why mental health support must remain accessible to everyone who needs it.

As we make our final push toward our $425,000 fundraising goal, we invite you to take a moment to read their stories and reflect on the difference that compassionate support, education, and connection can make.

Every donation helps NAMI Miami-Dade continue providing free mental health programs, support groups, education, and advocacy throughout our community. Together, we can ensure that more individuals and families find the support, hope, and understanding they deserve.

We’re so close to the finish line, and every gift brings us one step closer.
Donate today at NAMIWalks.org/Miami. ✨💙
