How to get premium clients?
AI is lowering the barriers to ex*****on. As a result, the average client is less willing to pay a reasonable price for graphic design services.
So it’s time to adapt:
→ Sell strategy, not just ex*****on.
→ Specialize in a specific niche.
→ Offer higher-value services.
→ Focus on fewer, higher-value clients.
→ Recurring services are easier to grow than constantly finding new clients.
→ For B2B, a strong website and SEO are key. Social media is secondary. Crowdsourcing is a race to the bottom.
→ Communicate a single message: How can you help your client?
Those are a few of my new professor poses for my new website. Lots more in progress.
Enjoy!

A great sports mascot shouldn't have to choose between personality and usability.
Most mascots look great in detail but fall apart when reduced to a logo.
The solution? Design both as one visual system.
Full mascot. Simplified logo.

One thing I see all the time with home service businesses...
They build a brand for the business they have today, not the one they want tomorrow.
A professional brand should include stacked logo, horizontal logo, lettermark and icon.
Otherwise, they'll keep paying to adapt it...

Most business owners think a logo is a brand.
It's not.
A brand identity is the system that tells everyone how to use the logo: which colors, which fonts, how much space it needs, how it is placed on applications.
Without a system, every person who touches the logo makes their own call:
- The truck wrapper stretches it.
- The printer guy picks "a similar color."
- Someone adds a drop shadow so it stands out.
And that’s exactly when the brand gets ruined.

Spot the 5 differences.
While doing a WeCleanCans competitors analysis I noticed most of them make the same mistakes:
→ Unreadable logos.
→ Loud colors fighting for attention.
→ A generic trash can as mascot.
→ Truck overloaded with info.
→ No clear visual hierarchy.
Same service. Same truck. Similar pricing → Different branding.
Assuming that they all provide a great service for a similar price.
Which one would you trust?

Business owners: what if your mascot could do more than just decorate?
I’ve built my new service ladder around a problem I see often: you have a nice mascot, but no storytelling, visual system or way to make it work consistently across your brand.
My goal is to help turn that one great character into a complete visual language: with storytelling, identity and consistent applications.
In the image, mascot illustration vs mascot usage for the new SOSFactory website selling my Seriously Fun framework.

FIRST OR SECOND CONCEPT?
Before answering, let me share the brief for the project.
THE PROMISE
“Seriously Fun Branding”: taking branding seriously while keeping it fun.
Not childish or goofy.
THE ARCHETYPE
The Sage: the smart, knowledgeable problem-solver.
Kind of like Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley: an eccentric geek but more approachable and empathetic, while keeping that intelligence and extreme seriousness even in fun situations.
His body language is expressive, but his face always stays serious. The humor comes from that contrast.
BUYER PERSONA
Mainly men aged 35–45, so I wanted the professor to feel closer to an IT consultant than an eccentric genius, with a subtle ’80s touch.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS
- More geek than the original freak.
- Active and capable. The old, chubby body wasn’t working.
- Simpler arms and legs. This lets me work faster and create more poses without spending three days on each one.
- Middle-aged but still contemporary.
- The Crocs now have their distinctive shape.
- The lab coat is kept closed for a simple, iconic look, or opened when the format allows for more detail.
Which one do you prefer?
Enjoy!

What is the most artistic AI model?
DALL·E 3, without a doubt.
Its results were unpredictable, both in good ways and bad. It had creativity, personality, and the ability to produce unexpected ideas. The trade-off was inconsistency and hallucinations.
That’s what made it such a great brainstorming tool: it could actually surprise you.
Now it’s deprecated.
I understand why the sanitized ChatGPT look works so well for the general public: it delivers polished, somehow usable designs straight out of the box. But for branding, that predictability is exactly the problem.
When everything is standardized and predictable, a mascot stops being a brand asset. It’s just decoration.

Misconceptions about using mascot logos for businesses:
- They are childish.
- They don't work in just one color.
- They are too complex.
When done right, they work just like any other logo — they just have more... "character"🤨
