We wanted to do something special for our FAMU Football Team after competing hard at the Orange Blossom Classic Football Game.
On Monday, Sept. 7th, FAMU NAA, Miami-Dade Chapter in partnership with the Rattler Boosters and the Jessie Trice Health Foundation hosted a Mental Health & Wellness event for our players at the DoubleTree Hotel in Hollywood.
The purpose of the event was to provide exposure to the FAMU football team and coaches on mental health and wellness strategies. The guest speaker, Dr. Kevin Gibson, summed up his speech by leaving the players with the saying.... "there is a human being under the helmet".
