Always proud of my students when they challenge themselves to step out of their comfort zone and do a hard thing! Congrats to Abby, Abbie and Nevaeh on a job well done at our local NATS audition today! Special congrats to Nevaeh on her 1st place win in the Lower High school Musical Theatre division. .rsm

Still amazing by the amazing performance put on by last month. She sang in 5 different genres (classical, MT, jazz, pop, and worship). Her audience was captivated. What a joy to be able to sit back and actually enjoy the completion of my work (picture 2). And then to have the privilege of sharing a song with her (picture 3). She started 7 years ago as a sweet girl who enjoyed singing, and blossomed into a lovely young woman who is also my friend (picture 4). Excited for her next chapter- watch out, Nashville!

This weekend 10 of my students participated in the Broadway Bound Musical Theatre Competition. I am so thrilled to announce that half of my participating students received high enough marks to place! For some, it was their first time competing! Even if you did not place, you should be proud of all the hard work you did just to be able to participate- it’s never in vain! Each participant rose to the challenge and showed great skill and confidence! Special congrats to my level 1 (elementary) winners- Alejandra Landaeta 🥇, Abbie Kanarshiro 🥈& Ally Jones (HM)- and Level 2 (12-15 yo)- Alleica Phillias 🥇& Mia Zakka 🥉……….

Congrats to Zoe 🥳. She wanted to try something new for Young Talents Big Dreams this year. She put together a band from her peers- musicians she knew from church and school. She organized rehearsals and made sure all the paperwork got done. They made it to Finals and won first in their division! I thought they did a phenomenal job, each showcasing their skills with pro level musicianship. Congrats Headrush!
