It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Rebecca and her family. Every family is unique but the bonds within tend to be very similar. I love seeing people interact organically and Rebecca and her family did just that. Their connection was genuine and lighthearted. I adored the shirt cuff Rebecca’s mom wore, it made for the most perfect photo!

We used to love this song when we were younger. It’s funny how certain songs can leave a core memory in your head and I’m so happy to say this trip added another one after seeing the Postal Service perform at Kilby Block Party. Somethings are just too good to forget.

A thing of beauty, embracing the tranquility that the salt flats has to offer.

Look at this beautiful soul standing serenely against the vast white salt flats. Not going to lie, this shoot was nothing but good old fun. My sister is such a riot and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to experience the Salt Flats for the first time with her, let alone grab some gorgeous shots of her. Obsessed doesn’t cut it!

Here’s to another year of life. Embracing everything thirty-one has to offer and teach. To more sunrises, endless laughter, and infinite small meaningful moments with my loved ones. Cheers!

If only we could just reach out and touch the clouds. The way they stacked over each other was just like a dream as if I could just jump down each level and float away as if nothing else existed. Sometimes that’s what we wish for the most; to disappear into nature and let it dissolve our biggest worries and pain. Although 30 years of life has made me realize without the dark we wouldn’t be able to engage with the brightest light life has to offer. Forever the most important duality.

Another year older means another sunrise in the books. I am beyond grateful to be able to jump in my car and drive 5 minutes to get to the beach. Although I’m not exactly where I want to be in life, I need to remember things are unfolding in the manner they are supposed to. Learning to have ultimate trust in the universe is just a part of the path I am on.
