I wanted to share a new drawing I made for my phone cover!
I have been taking time recently to let myself be in awe of nature's beauty and resilience. Miami and South Florida are home to immense biodiversity, as our unique position in the world allows tropical, temperate, terrestrial, wetland, aquatic, and marine species to coexist. I felt inspired to capture and carry with me some of the incomparable landscapes of this place I call home.

Featured in this drawing: coconut palm, zebra longwing butterfly (FL state butterfly!), strangler fig, American flamingo (Hialeah icon!), sawgrass, marsh rabbit, hibiscus flower, Southern toad, brown anole.

How do you cherish the nature that surrounds you?

It was an absolute joy to share my experience learning Ghanaian 🇬🇭 weaving traditions with the MassArt Weaving class!
This was my second artist talk for the course; although I could not be there in person, it made me very happy to engage with the students and hear their perspectives. Thank you Professor Jenine Shereos and MassArt Fibers Department for this opportunity! 🧶🌺

It was such a wonderful experience to design and craft a prom dress for Grace, an amazing singer! Here are some pictures from the fitting, the original sketch, and the big day! ❤️⚜️

I truly believe there's nothing like having the outfit of your dreams, with the perfect fit, to wear to such a special occasion. It's a huge honor for me to help bring that vision to life.

Grace, I hope you enjoy the dress as much as I enjoyed making it. Thanks to you and your family for trusting in my talent. 🎶✨ Keep shining bright!

It was an absolute honor to create a conductor's outfit, tailcoat and pants, for my brother Harold. I've been witness to his journey to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an orchestral conductor, so getting to support him (in my own way) was a blessing.
Harold and I got together and looked at some of his blazers and jackets. We discussed what elements of a traditional tailcoat he wanted to preserve and what things he wanted to adapt to his own style. My mother selected the fabrics and buttons. After that, I took Harold's measurements and got to work!
This was my first time creating a men's suit, but I'm happy with how it turned out. It was wonderfully surreal to see it in motion as Harold conducted his graduation recital at Mechanics Hall a few weeks ago, so I hope to see it onstage again soon!

Congratulations on your Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting, Harold, your Alexander Technique Teacher Certification, and all your other well-deserved achievements!! I'm incredibly proud of you!!

Vestido hecho con satín, tul y un forro de algodón. Bordado y apliqué hecho con retazos de tela e hilos reusados.
