What is Chronic Urticaria?

Chronic Urticaria, also known as chronic hives, is a condition that causes itchy, raised welts on the skin that may come and go for weeks, months, or even years. Some individuals may also experience swelling of the lips, eyelids, or other areas of the body.

Common symptoms may include:
• Itching or burning sensation
• Red or skin-colored welts
• Symptoms that appear suddenly and disappear within hours
• Swelling beneath the skin (angioedema)

In many cases, the exact cause is unknown. Stress, heat, pressure, infections, or other triggers may worsen symptoms for some individuals.
