It is one of the ways we can alchemize our thoughts, emotions, actions etc & to connect with one another.

While being compassionate has its loving qualities, we must remember to remain in our power while doing so.

Without cultivating this 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 & 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 within, the potential of being taken advantage increases.

Managing this balance is key to success in our relations, our well-being, & humanity as a whole.

When you feel powerless or helplessness, turn to your heart, your own empowerment within, & remembering your purpose on this earth.

We can turn to deities such as this beautiful 𝑮𝒐𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑲𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒏, this manifestation of bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.

The Goddess of Mercy and Compassion in Japanese Buddhism.

Acknowledging this energy, connecting, giving thanks, & then moving forward.

Looking at these reflections/goddesses are a part of ourselves & nothing more.
Giving us the strength and endurance to move through 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 with our willpower and our ever expansive hearts.

💌 Open letter to this version of myself...

I see all of you.
Your pain from grief in your eyes.
Your addictions almost eating you alive from the inside.
Stretching my earlobes because I felt "rebellious & cool" when in reality I was just more in pain.

🪷 Thank you for:

Teaching me how to be with all of my pain and transforming it.
Alchemizing it with unconditional love, acceptance, & compassionate grace.
Releasing all old ass stories that have been in my mind for waaaay too long.

Here's to no longer using pain as an "excuse" to escape or numb but to know I have the power & the choice to do something different with it.

I love you my 20 something year old self.
