Hey guys, Seven adopted some stray kittens. Some jerk left them on the side of the road in a Tupperware bin slowly filling with rain water. He and Zoe have been bottle feeding them SIX TIMES A DAY the last three or so weeks, and rubbing their little tummies to stimulate their p*e p*e response. They'll be weened and ready for adoption by early / mid October.

No, I'm not posting from church. To avoid the crowd, we hit the Friday night service. 😉

You all know about my fiction endeavors. But back in the 90s, music was my thing. I taught at Belmont University in Nashville and wrote four instructional books for drum set during that period. The 2000s were a time of great change in my life—upheaval may be too strong a word, but not by much—and I managed to lose track of them. Though I tried not to dwell on it, sometimes the ghosts of those books haunted my dreams.

Until about a month ago.

I was digging around in storage one morning and ran across a box labeled "Jeff's Music Books." I don't know how long I stood staring at it, but crickets were chirping outside in the darkness when I finally jolted awake. And I'd grown a beard.

Just kidding, of course, but the discovery did indeed spike my pulse.

Inside the box were the print masters for all four books. I dropped what I was doing and went to work scanning the music parts and copying the text into new Word documents. A few weeks of grueling work and...

VIOLA! 🎻

I released them on Amazon, all under the name "Jeff T. Wade" in order to separate them from my fiction work. (My fiction is under "Jeff Wade," no middle initial.) Though I revised the text a little, the music is still the same. The "Demystifying Rhythm" series lent itself to eBook editions. You can find them along with paperback versions here:
