Eltz Castle, Wierschem, Germany
Eltz castle has been in the Eltz family for 33 generations. This magnificent castle is framed on three sides by the stream Eltzbach, and stands on a tall rock, 70 meters high.
The soaring castle often has a misty fog surrounding it in early mornings. Hidden deep in the forest, this castle is the perfect escape from Germany’s big cities. Spend some time in the forest doing some of the lovely walks and hikes.

Taos, New Mexico
A gem of a city in New Mexico, Taos is known for it's rich traditions and distinctive culture and cuisine.
Drive the Enchanted Scenic Byway loop that begins and ends in Taos to get the full experience of the magical area. As you drive through the mountains, valleys, and national forest, the changing colors of the leaves are a striking standout.
Need to stretch your legs after your road trip? Taos happens to have a popular ski resort, Taos Ski Valley, that attracts visitors from all over the US.

Upper Peninsula, Michigan
If you’re looking for 7 million acres of forest in rainbows of orange, red, yellow, purple and greens, then Upper Peninsula in Michigan is calling your name.
Porcupine Mountains Wilderness Park is a place where trails will take you through the forest, by waterfalls (the Upper Peninsula has more than 300 of them!) and along miles of rivers. Hike up from Lake of the Clouds for views that make the trek worth it.

Stowe, Vermont
Though many people head to Vermont in the winter for ski season, you’d be skipping out on the beauty of the changing colors on the mountainside that make the area one of the best in the world for fall foliage.
You don’t have to pick just one way to take in the fall colors in Stowe - hike Stowe Pinnacle for incredible views, go mountain biking on Cady Hill, or get up in the trees by going on a zipline tour. If you’d rather a more leisurely activity, then catch views from the water while paddling down the Waterbury Reservoir or take a scenic drive on historic Toll Road to the top of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest mountain.

We wish Hogsmeade was real, but for now we are happy to visit the replica of this beautiful village at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando, FL. Theme parks are a great escape for family fun, and at times a nice change of pace from world travel. This week we will feature some of our favorite theme parks!

The Quokka - found on Rottnest Island, Australia. These small marsupials have little fear of humans and will often approach people that want to get a photo of these cute critters.
While they make for good selfies and Instagram photo ops, take care not to feed them "human food" as they may become ill. Add Rottnest Island to your post-quarantine travel list!

Paro Taktsang in Bhutan, known as the Tiger's Nest, is a sacred temple for Buddhists that is precariously located on a cliff above the Paro Valley.
Visitors are able to enter the complex and climb the multiple levels to enjoy the spectacular views and have their own moments of zen.
