LEAD (www.LEAD-EC.com) is delivering another successful project as it approaches the completion of the FDOT District 4 I-95 / Copans Road Interchange Improvements project in Pompano Beach, FL. The improvements under this contract consisted of reconstruction, widening, milling and resurfacing, I-95 bridges widening, sidewalk, drainage improvements including curb and gutter, shoulder gutter and storm water ponds, pipe desilting, construction of noise walls, retaining walls, pier protection barrier walls, express lane delineators, installation of ITS conduits and equipment, signing and pavement markings, vehicle detection, ITS cameras, lighting, landscaping and interchange modification of on and off ramps along SR 9 (I-95).

LEAD (www.LEAD-EC.com) celebrates the beginning of the new year with the start of its new project, the FDOT D6 SR 90 (SW 8th St.), which includes safety improvements, intersections, drainage reconstruction, and resurfacing of nearly 5 miles of this landmark Miami street. LEAD and its subcontractors team looks forward to working with all stakeholders to deliver another successful project to our community!

LEAD is on the final stretch to complete the FDOT D4 I-95/Copans Road project. The last barrier wall is getting poured today to switch traffic into final configuration in the upcoming days. LEAD consistently providing the best service and delivering another high quality project to the FDOT and to the South Florida community! Kudos to the entire project team!

Work with a view! LEAD’s night shift crews continue their hard work at the FDOT Henry Kinney Tunnel/Las Olas project. In partnership with the FDOT, the CEI and the City of Fort Lauderdale, LEAD’s project team is making significant progress both on the Las Olas Plaza as well as inside of the Henry Kinney Tunnel.

The Underline Phase 2 project recent held its monthly mass safety meeting. Safety always comes first at LEAD (www.LEAD-EC.com). Every project conducts monthly mass safety meetings where the team discusses upcoming safety challenges, performs training and recognizes outstanding safety performances. Our organization, from its ownership, management and every supervisory and craft personnel, has a Safety First mindset. LEAD's team members carry their day to day duties with the strong belief, tools and training to prevent every accident. The hard work and results obtained towards working accident free on every jobsite, one day at a time, is fostered and recognized in multiple ways by the LEAD organization.

The LEAD (www.LEAD-EC.com) team is making solid progress on the construction of the FDOT State Road 5 (US-1) from SR 862 (I-595) to SR 842 Broward Boulevard Project. The improvements include rehabilitating the structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and life safety components of the Henry E. Kinney Tunnel; milling and resurfacing SR 5/ US-1 from Rio Vista Boulevard to south of the Tunnel; installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) along SR 5/US-1, extending the Tunnel top to accommodate a pedestrian plaza which will include new fountains, seating facilities, redesigned brick pavers, artificial turf and landscaping installation, and reconstructing the intersection of Las Olas Boulevard at SE 6th Avenue. LEAD continues to deliver the Best Service!

The LEAD team (www.LEAD-EC.com) has delivered the Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility (GGMTF) and made FDOT and Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works’ vision a reality. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the GGMTF had opening remarks by FDOT District Six Secretary Stacy Miller, P.E., Miami-Dade County Commissioner District 2 Jean Monestime, Miami-Dade County DTPW and CEO Eulois Cleckley, Miami-Dade County Commissioner District 5 Eileen Higgins, and by South Florida Regional Transportation Authority Executive Director Steven Abrams.
This state of the art facility includes modern amenities and combines multiple modes of transportation including rail, vehicles, buses, bicycles, pedestrian and other transportation services. The project includes all sitework, underground utilities, roads and ramps connecting to I-95 and adjacent state roads, new intersections, covered walkways, bicycle lanes, a pedestrian bridge connecting the GGMTF with SFRTA commuter Tri-Rail Station, a 10,900 SF transit hub facility, driver’s lounge, passenger waiting areas and restrooms, and includes a 954,868 SF parking garage with capacity for 2,375 vehicles, offering high connectivity and convenience for all users within the great South Florida Community. The LEAD team is proud to once again deliver the Best Service and successfully complete this landmark facility to improve transportation in South Florida.
