Union moms do it all: raise families, care for others and fight for dignity on the job. This Mother’s Day, we honor the working mothers who never stop showing up for their loved ones, coworkers and communities.

It’s Public Service Recognition Week – a time that we reflect on the essential work that AFSCME members do. Whether responding to emergencies, taking our kids to school, keeping our streets and drinking water clean or caring for the sick, public service workers are the backbone of our communities. They deserve respect and dignity for all they do. This week, we extend our deepest gratitude to all those who dedicate their lives and careers to helping others, and we commit to always continuing to fight for the strong public services our communities deserve.
