Thank you to Waymo for stopping by and providing additional training for our department.

Our personnel learned more about Waymo’s autonomous vehicles, including what to do during emergency situations and how to safely interact with the vehicles during incidents.

Before being sworn in on Monday, Miami Beach PD newest officers received CPR and choking rescue training.

These skills can make a real difference when seconds matter, and we’re proud to help prepare them as they get ready to serve our community.

Congratulations and we look forward to working alongside you!

Thank you to Miami Beach Girl Scout Troop 2417 for restoring our flag box at Fire Station 4.

Our crews had a great time hosting you as you completed this project, and we truly appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that went into it.

Protect your pets from extreme heat this summer.

🐾 Keep your pet hydrated
🐾 Know signs of overheating
🐾 Never leave pets in cars
🐾 Keep paws away from hot pavement

The asphalt can get nearly twice as hot as the air outside. If it’s too hot for your bare feet, then it’s too hot for your pet’s paws.

At Miami Beach Fire Department, we pride ourselves on our firefighter-paramedics.

Our rescue units are more than medical transport vehicles. They are staffed by firefighters trained to provide advanced life support, respond to emergencies in hazardous environments and rescue victims when needed.

Take a look inside one of our rescue units and see some of the equipment our crews use every day to serve our community.

With today's heat advisory in effect from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., make sure you recognize the signs and know how to respond. Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay informed.

For more heat safety tips, visit weather.gov/safety/heat

A Heat Advisory has been issued again for today across coastal and metro Miami-Dade + Broward counties as southwesterly flow and scattered cloud coverage is expected to allow for increased heat index values as high as 105-107 degrees. Make sure to stay hydrated!

Thank you to Miami Beach PD Junior Police Academy for stopping by our fire station during their summer camp!

We enjoyed giving the campers a look into the fire service and hope everyone had a great time learning about what our firefighters do to protect the community.
