Did the Spring Break thing in Ft. Lauderdale at the Vacation Village Bonaventure. The facilities were out of this world because you had 3 resorts that you could go to on the property. There was the tennis resort with pool and whirlpool bath to die for and the golf resort which is where we stayed with 2 PGA 18 hole golf courses steps away and then the Town Center resort with bars and restaurants. I was like a Disney Land for people over 21.
Don't get me wrong we didn't spend the whole week at these resorts because we were 10 minutes from the world famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach which has the best people watching in the world on a beach that went forever. Particularly liked Lu LU's and Ho***rs across from the beach but their was aboult a mile of other choices.
For night life we ventured to Miami South Beach which was only 35 minutes from our resort and Ocean Drive is really as good as they say it is in the tabloids. Side walk cafe's and the rich and famous and I like Mango's the best for the salsa dancing.
Now for the attractions if those things were not enough. We did the swamp boats tour of the Everglades complete with Alligator wrestling and gator bits fried to eat. This was only 10 minutes away from Bonaventure resort and we even ventured off to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino for a night of fun and we needed to pay for this vacation with our winnings.
Don't know where the week went but I'm going back next year to take in the Jungle Cruise of the New River in Ft. Lauderdale which they call the Venice of America with all the canals.
By the way the whole week was only $525 for the 4 of us with vtsr.com and well worth it.
