Found dirt on the clean side of air filter. Customer had been running the wrong filter for years. 2003 Sterling freighter was no help. Found some numbers in the plastic Donaldson housing. Called Donaldson she gave me 2 part numbers. One was the short and one was 2.5” longer. The longer one fit nice and tight. Nice clean air for the 13L Mercedes-Benz motor.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Thorough technical knowledge of all phases of truck and trailer repair
Mechanical experience in fleet repair.
Driver’s license required, CDL preferred,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain fleet trucks and trailers, using hand tools, power or pneumatic tools. Perform routine and scheduled PM’s on all equipment such as tractors, straight-trucks, trailers and forklifts.
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, driveline, brake, suspension and other systems. Ability to work on hydraulic/electric lift-gate equipment. Read job order, follow manuals; observe and listen to troubleshoot and plan work procedures. May discuss with driver nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Drive repaired truck to verify roadworthiness.

Requirements:

You should possess some Truck/Trailer. Light duty is a plus
You must have a good driving record as you will be issued a service truck to drive home.
You need to supply a general mechanics set of tools.
Responsibilities:

You will be performing preventive maintenance such as oil changes, l**e, DOT inspections and corrective maintenance such as alternators, starters, water pumps, belts hoses, brakes or any repairs that can be done safely on the customer site. Larger repairs are performed in our shop.
Our mechanics also perform emergency road service in the local market.
