My experiences over the past seven years have shaped the public servant I intend to be. If you r**e me or attempt to r**e me, or threaten to harm my friends or family I will stand up to you!

I believe every person deserves due process, equal protection under the law, professional law enforcement, competent legal representation, humane treatment while incarcerated, and a justice system worthy of the public’s trust.

My platform is rooted in accountability, transparency, better training, stronger support for first responders, improved mental health resources, and meaningful reform where systems fall short.

I will continue to document my experiences, work through lawful and constitutional means, and advocate for policies that strengthen Arizona while protecting the rights and dignity of every person.

Justice. Accountability. Service. Faith.

For fun, I looked up my numerology using my birth date (May 16, 1978) and my birth name, Michael David Coxon West.

According to that tradition, my chart points to:

Taken together, it paints a picture of someone who is meant to lead, serve others in a meaningful way, and stay grounded through discipline and inner drive.

Whether you believe in numerology or not, I think self-reflection has value. Systems like this can simply be a prompt to ask better questions about ourselves—like, “How can I become a better father, teacher, friend, or leader?”

For me, those questions matter far more than the numbers themselves.

I bought my first cattleman hat today 💪😃👍🏻

After 18 years of living in Arizona, it feels like something I should have done a long time ago. I’ve seen so many men wearing these hats at church, community events, and local Arizona restaurants. To me, they’re more than a fashion statement. They provide great protection from the Arizona sun while honoring the heritage, ranching traditions, and the people who helped shape this state.

I don’t have any plans to start wearing cowboy boots, but I can definitely see this hat becoming part of who I am.

A special thank you to David Saba III for preserving such an incredible Arizona family business, and an extra thank you to Vanessa for taking the time to help me find the perfect hat. As a single dad, I appreciated your patience, kindness, and expertise. You made my first hat-buying experience one I’ll always remember.

Supporting local, multigenerational Arizona businesses like Saba’s Western Wear is something I’ll continue to do. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend stopping in and experiencing their hospitality for yourself.

America doesn’t need more shouting… it needs more civic education.

Democracy isn’t just red or blue. It’s a spectrum of ideas, experiences, and people. The strongest communities aren’t built by choosing sides… they’re built by studying the facts, measuring the outcomes, and learning from one another.

My mission is simple:

Study the policy. Measure the outcomes. Teach the lessons.

Let’s build an Arizona where facts matter, results matter, and every voice has the opportunity to be heard.

Over the past week, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time at the Gilbert Police Department speaking with patrol officers, sergeants, supervisors, and department leadership. I came away with one overwhelming impression: gratitude.

I met good men and women who have chosen a profession that asks them to run toward danger when everyone else is running away from it. That is a tremendous sacrifice.

As the son of a police officer, I have a unique appreciation for what this career demands. My father spent decades serving his community, and now, at 77 years old, I can see the lasting effects that a lifetime of carrying the weight of other people’s worst days can have on a person.

To every officer wearing the badge today: please take care of your mental health. PTSD is real. Constant exposure to violence, tragedy, conflict, and the responsibility of making life-or-death decisions changes people. Seeking help is not weakness… it is wisdom.

Thank you to the Gilbert Police Department for the professionalism, respect, and kindness you showed me throughout the week. Those conversations reminded me that behind every badge is a human being with a family, hopes, fears, and a desire to serve.

And finally…

Dad, I love you.

Thank you for your years of service and for the example you set. You’ll always be my hero.

For the past seven years, I’ve experienced ongoing anonymous online comments and unwanted communications involving me and my family. It has been difficult at times, but today I want to express my sincere gratitude to the men and women of the Gilbert Police Department.

Thank you to the officers who took the time to listen, answer my questions, document my concerns, and treat me with professionalism and respect. Regardless of the outcome of any investigation, being heard matters.

Public service isn’t always easy, and I appreciate the commitment these officers show every day to our community.
