đŸ˜șSweet Luna is a 12ish‑year‑old ragdoll mix with a soft spirit and an even softer coat. This mature lady knows exactly what she wants in life: calm spaces, warm laps, and a human who appreciates slow mornings and quiet evenings. She’s the kind of cat who brings peace into a home just by being in it.
She adores being brushed — it’s her favorite bonding ritual — and she’ll lean into every stroke with a grateful purr. When she’s feeling playful, she’ll chase elastic hair ties with surprising enthusiasm for a senior girl. Afterward, she’s right back to snuggling, stretching out beside you, or curling up in your lap like the little queen she is.
Luna prefers to be the only pet so she can soak up all the affection without competition. She isn’t demanding, but she deeply enjoys companionship and will follow you from room to room, settling nearby like a soft, comforting shadow. With her gentle nature, affectionate heart, and love for cozy routines, she’s the perfect match for someone seeking a calm, steady companion. After 12 years of life, she’s ready for a forever home where she can be cherished the way she deserves.

đŸ˜șHandsome Tater has gathered so many experiences in his short six years. Adopted as a kitten to be a loving companion, he spent his early life adored and pampered. But when his owner had to make a sudden escape from domestic violence, he was left behind. After the remaining residents moved out, he was evicted too, left to fend for himself.
For several years, he survived thanks to kind neighbors who fed the abandoned and feral cats in the area. Attempts to get him into rescue kept falling through — until the timing finally aligned and Desert Paws had an opening.
He’s spent the last few weeks readjusting to indoor life. His insecurities are slowly melting away as he rediscovers soft beds, steady meals, and gentle human voices. He’s been okay around other cats as long as they respect his space, and he’s learning that safety and love are here to stay. Tater is ready for a peaceful home where he can continue healing and finally receive the stability he’s always deserved.

đŸ˜șMama May’s story started with heartbreak. She, her kittens, her sister, their mom, and more kittens were all abandoned in a box at the end of a road known for its high coyote population. Thankfully, they were found before tragedy struck, and now May is ready for the happy ending she deserves.
This petite girl is equal parts playful and affectionate. Her favorite hobbies include making the most serious biscuits you’ve ever seen, purring nonstop, and curling up close for cuddles. Once May realizes she’s safe and loved, her personality truly shines. She’s vocal, expressive, and always has something to say.
May absolutely adores other cats and will need a feline companion in her forever home. She thrives on kitty friendship and would be happiest with another playful, friendly cat to keep her company.
She would do best in a home with older children (or no children), where she can settle in at her own pace.
After everything she’s been through, Mama May is ready to leave her past behind and find a family that will cherish her forever. 💕 If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion with plenty of personality, May might just be your perfect match.

đŸ˜șThis gorgeous boy is Zorro, born in February 2025. He has thick, soft fur and the tip of his tail looks like it was dipped in milk. He was adopted from Desert Paws last year as a kitten but sadly recently returned due to changes in his owners' work and school schedules which keep them away from home too much. They felt he deserves more attention than they can provide. They said Zorro is a perfect cat and he really is! He was best friends with their Golden Retriever and acted like a dog - greeting visitors at the door and being comfortable with everyone. Zorro loves adults and children and is very gentle. He's very outgoing and is a great cuddler. He's good with the other cats in his foster home. Zorro is still very playful at 1-1/2 years old and has excellent litter box habits and uses the scratching posts.

đŸ˜șTrolley is a petite tortie (3/17) — tiny but mighty. She wrestles with the foster kittens and holds her own, loves ball toys and rattle mice, and follows you around with soft meows. She isn’t a big snuggler yet but enjoys attention and cozying into fluffy beds. She’s also becoming more people‑oriented every day, checking in for affection and reassurance. Trolley will need a feline companion in her forever home.

đŸ˜șMidge Pinciotti (3/11) is a stunning calico with a sweet personality. She may take a moment to warm up, but once she does, she becomes a loyal little shadow. She loves playing with her foster siblings, spring toys, ball toys, and Churu treats. She’s not a big lap cat yet, but she’s getting more attached every day. Midge enjoys Royal Canin kitten mixed with Purina Pro Plan kibble and loves gravy‑style wet food. She’ll need another kitten or playful cat in her new home.

&

đŸ˜șJesse James (3/15) is a cute orange tabby boy with a big personality and an even bigger story. He came from a stray’s litter of six and originally thought it was his job to scare off anyone who tried to touch them. After a week of being held, cuddled, and smothered with love, he blossomed quickly. Once he tested FeLV/FIV negative, he joined the “Hole in the Wall Gang” (Butch, Sundance, and Etta), who showed him how fun people can be. Now he’s active, playful, loves wrestling with kittens, and happily chases the wand toy. He was fine around the senior dog and sleeps stretched out near his foster mom. He purrs easily and will continue to warm up with a friendly feline companion.

đŸ˜șButch (3/7) is a friendly kitten with huge, expressive eyes. He and his siblings were born in a backyard full of strays and were thankfully rescued by a neighbor. Their foster bottle‑fed them, now Butch is thriving. He’s curious, brave, and always the first to explore new rooms or dark hideouts. He loves hide‑and‑seek, spring toys, and the turbo scratcher — and watching him play is half the fun. Butch also has a sweet, cuddly side and loves napping in a lap. To live his happiest life, he’ll need a playful feline companion.

đŸ˜șMama Nikki & Her B‑Crew — Born 3/17/26 ✹
Mama Nikki came to Desert Paws on 3/10/26 after wandering an apartment complex, young, pregnant, and searching for someone kind enough to help her. Thanks to a caring neighbor and Brown Road Animal Clinic, she found safety — and just one week later, she welcomed four beautiful boys: Brawny, Bristol, Bounty, and Bamboo. Nikki has been a gentle, loving mama with a playful spirit and a sweet heart. Now that her babies are thriving, she’s ready for her next chapter — and so are her boys. Each kitten will need to be adopted into a home with another playful kitten or cat to grow up confident, social, and happy.

đŸ˜șBrawny — Mr. Personality
Confident, silly, and full of charm, Brawny is the life of the party. He loves toys, wrestling with his brothers, and showing off his big personality. After playtime, he melts into cuddles with a loud, happy purr. He’d love to be adopted with one of his brothers.

đŸ˜șBristol — The Little Charmer
Sweet, playful, and full of kitten charm, Bristol loves romping around with his brothers and curling up for snuggles when he’s done. He bonds easily and would be happiest being adopted with one of his brothers.

đŸ˜șBounty — The Happy‑Go‑Lucky Explorer
Curious, cheerful, and always ready for an adventure, Bounty loves exploring new spaces and chasing toys. Whether he’s discovering something new or snuggled up after a busy day, he brings joy wherever he goes. He’d love to be adopted with a brother.

đŸ˜șBamboo — The Gentle Sweetheart
Soft‑natured, playful, and full of adorable antics, Bamboo loves jingle balls, crinkle toys, and anything he can chase. He’s funny, sweet, and always ready to make you smile. Bamboo would be happiest being adopted with one of his brothers.

✹ Elena, Damon & Klaus — Born 3/21/26 ✹
This beautiful sibling trio was lovingly raised from birth in a home that adored them, but with too many cats to care for long‑term, their family made the difficult decision to surrender them so they could find the wonderful futures they deserve. Elena, Damon, and Klaus have grown up surrounded by love, play, and gentle handling, and it shows in their affectionate, people‑friendly personalities. They are confident, social kittens who thrive with feline companionship and are ready to bring joy, laughter, and nonstop entertainment to their forever homes. Whether you’re looking for a bold explorer, a loyal sidekick, or a thoughtful cuddle bug, this trio has a perfect match for every family.

đŸŸ Elena
Part supermodel, part athlete, part cuddle bug — Elena is radiant, confident, and impossible not to adore. She loves interactive toys, pouncing games, couch snuggles, and kid cuddles (ages 7+). She purrs easily, bonds quickly, and brings a bright, joyful energy into every room. Elena will need a feline companion in her new home and would be thrilled to have a child to love and follow around.

đŸŸ Damon
Damon is the charismatic adventurer of the group — playful, curious, and always the first to the food bowl. He has lightning‑fast reflexes, big‑brother instincts, and a soft side that melts into cozy naps when he’s done exploring. He checks on everyone, hates being left out, and absolutely needs a feline friend to match his energy, confidence, and love of daily adventures.

đŸŸ Klaus
Klaus is the thoughtful sweetheart — a little reserved at first, but once he warms up, he becomes a playful explorer with a huge, loyal heart. He loves toys, climbing, investigating new spaces, and dedicating his affection to “his person.” Expect face snuggles, purrs, and a kitten who wants to be part of the fun while still appreciating quiet moments. Klaus will thrive in a home that embraces both his independence and his cuddly side.

✹The Shadow Litter — Born 3/30/26 ✹

đŸ˜șMama Shadow came to Desert Paws as a kitten raising kittens — skinny, flea‑covered, and giving everything she had to her five babies. With love, food, and safety, she has blossomed into a confident, affectionate young cat who finally gets to enjoy kittenhood herself. Shadow is talkative, loving, enjoys brushing and pets, and doesn’t mind being held. She’s great with cats and, after her spay, has shown she can coexist with dogs with slow introductions. Her babies have grown into playful, social, people‑friendly kittens who will all need to be adopted into homes with another playful kitten or cat.

đŸ˜șJinx (girl) is a zooming ball of energy who loves wand toys, cat springs, and chasing her siblings. She warms up quickly, isn’t shy, and thrives in a playful home. She hasn’t met dogs yet but does well with other cats after a slow introduction. Jinx will need another playful kitten or cat in her forever home.

đŸ˜șWednesday (boy) is outgoing, curious, and always ready to explore. He loves toys, investigating everything, and being part of the action. He’s social, confident, and great with other cats after a slow intro. He hasn’t met dogs yet. Wednesday will absolutely need another playful kitten or cat to grow up with.

đŸ˜ș Midnight (boy) is an energetic love bug who adores running, wrestling, and wand‑toy time. After play, he melts into a lap for snuggles. He gets along well with other cats and is learning to be comfortable around dogs. Midnight will need a playful feline companion in his new home.

đŸ˜șJasper (boy) is energetic, fun, and always ready to play. Once he’s burned off his kitten energy, he becomes a sweet snuggler. He’s not shy at all, gets along great with other cats, and is learning to like dogs. Jasper will need another playful kitten or cat in his forever home.

đŸ˜șSalem (boy) is a little more reserved than his siblings, but he warms up quickly and loves to snuggle once he feels safe. He’s good with cats and is learning to be comfortable around dogs. Salem will need another playful kitten or cat to help him grow in confidence.

Meet three tiny queens of chaos, cuddles, and curiosity. This sister trio is playful, people‑friendly, dog‑curious, and full of personality. Each one brings her own flavor of fun — from fearless explorer to gymnast to shy‑sweet snuggle bug. They love each other deeply, especially Lucy & Elvira, but all three are ready to bring joy to their forever homes.

đŸ˜șLucy (torti, no split face)
Lucy is the brave explorer of the group — the first to try anything and the first to start purring (even when you’re not touching her). She adores her sister Elvira and is always right beside her: sleeping, playing, eating, wrestling. Lucy is wonderfully dog‑confident and will gently boop noses with medium and large dogs like it’s no big deal. She’s great with responsible, supervised kids and is flexible enough to be held like a baby, danced puppet‑style, or rocked on her back
all while purring. She loves toys, but her favorite playmate is Elvira. Would love to go home with her sister, but can be adopted separately.

đŸ˜șElvira (solid black)
Elvira is the gymnast of the trio — a jumper, climber, and dangling‑toy acrobat. She loves laser chase, wrestling with her sisters, and curling up next to Lucy for naps. She’ll sniff a dog face‑to‑face, then lose interest and move on, but she’s becoming more confident thanks to Lucy’s leadership. Once she warms up, she purrs after good pets and happily joins in the fun. Would love to be adopted with Lucy, but can be separated.

đŸ˜șTwixie (torti with the split face)
Twixie is the shy sweetheart who blossoms into a nonstop purr machine once she trusts you. She loves blanket caves, feather balls, jingle balls, and cozy naps on your chest or in a tipped‑over box. She watches her sisters chase the laser but is starting to show interest herself. She allows the dog near her but doesn’t seek them out — fair, considering the size difference. She’s gentle with supervised kids, enjoys being rocked like a baby, and prefers being held close and supported.

đŸ˜șHank
Silver Tabby ‱ 3 months old ‱ Domestic Short Hair

Meet Hank — a gentle cuddle bug with a heart full of love. He adores neck snuggles, soft pets, and playtime with his favorite toys. Once he knows you, he’ll be your loyal little shadow, purring his way into forever. Hank especially loves playing with his brother Willie and would be thrilled to go home with him or another friendly feline role model.

đŸ˜șWillie
Grey & White ‱ 3 months old ‱ Domestic Short Hair

Willie is a loving, playful kitten who’s always ready for cuddles and fun. He’s a toy enthusiast, a champion jumper, and a total sweetheart who loves to run and play with his brother Hank. Willie’s affectionate nature shines brightest when he’s with his people — he’ll love you endlessly and fill your home with joy.

đŸŸ Important Note
These babies are still learning how to “cat.”
Young kittens need a buddy to teach them manners, burn off energy, and keep them from turning into tiny 3 AM toe‑biting dinosaurs.
Adopting in pairs or into a home with a tolerant, playful role‑model cat helps them grow into happy, well‑adjusted adults.

🐕Meet Eleanor (Ellie), a 5–6 year old black Lab mix weighing about 45 lbs. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped — and she’s ready for her forever home.

Ellie’s rescue journey began on March 15th when she was found injured in the desert, likely hit by a car and left to fend for herself. She made her way to a home seeking help and was taken in by Pinal County Animal Care and Control. There, staff discovered she had a dislocated hip and open wounds. Her wounds were treated and her hip was manually replaced, but it wouldn’t stay in place. She needed surgery the shelter couldn’t provide and was placed on the euthanasia list unless a rescue stepped in.

Desert Paws answered that call. Our director spotted her online, and the next morning a volunteer drove out to pick her up as soon as the shelter opened. Ellie was terrified and unsure, but she was finally safe.

At our vet, X‑rays confirmed she needed an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) — a surgery that removes the damaged femoral head to relieve pain and allow muscle to form a comfortable, functional joint. While waiting for surgery, Ellie stayed with a foster who helped her learn that the world isn’t so scary. At first she had to be carried outside due to fear, but soon she learned to enjoy soft grass under her feet instead of hot asphalt.

After surgery, she moved to a foster experienced in FHO recovery and did wonderfully. Once healed, she returned to her original foster home — and her favorite part — the cats and kittens. Ellie adores cats and proudly considers herself a kitten momma.

Ellie is sweet, affectionate, eager to please, and a total couch cuddler. She enjoys teens, loves car rides, prefers a calm home, and would thrive with someone home often. She’s crate‑trained, smart, and has lovely manners. She still needs support building confidence, so an adopter with dog experience is ideal.

If you’re interested in adopting Eleanor, please submit a consultation form. Serious inquiries only. Meet‑and‑greets will take place at her foster home. Fill in a consultation form through our website: DesertPawsRescue.org
