Why does every English Bible translate the Greek word koinos as “unclean” in Romans 14:14 — when koinos actually means common? The Greek word for unclean, akathartos, is a completely separate word that does not appear in this verse at all.

Paul the Apostle used these two words side by side in Acts 10:14 as different adjectives with different meanings — yet Christian translators have nearly universally decided to change koinos to “unclean” to better fit a doctrinal agenda claiming that Jesus and Paul together abolished the biblical dietary laws.

This breakdown analyzes Paul’s writings on clean and unclean food, examines the actual Greek text, and applies proper biblical interpretation to recover what Paul actually said. Watch to clarify one of the most consequential mistranslations in the New Testament.

Most Christians have never been taught the true purpose of the Law of Moses — and it’s costing them. Your church told you the Law was either obsolete or a checklist for holiness — but Scripture says neither.

The Law of Moses was given to already-redeemed people as a manual for living redeemed — not as a path to get there. Paul is clear: if you’re using the Law of Moses as a means to justification, you’re not getting righteous before God — you’re incurring His wrath.

And if you’ve thrown it out completely, you’ve lost your definition of sin. Here are 3 biblical truths about the purpose of the Law that most Christians have completely backwards.

Did you know that the chapter markings in your Bible weren’t in Paul’s original letter? Stop letting chapter breaks change how you read Paul’s instructions.

In this clip, we look at how those divisions can cause us to read “love your neighbor as yourself” as a localized command in Romans 12 — when Paul actually intended it as the unifying thread connecting his theology to everyday behavior.

Reading his letters in their original flow, without modern formatting, restores the context behind his instructions to the early church. If this challenged the way you study the Bible, there’s much more to explore in the full lesson.

Israel's Enemies Were Warned 2,600 Years Ago — And It's Happening Now 06/16/2026

Tom Bradford from latest teaching on the book of Zephaniah. Israel's Enemies Were Warned 2,600 Years Ago — And It's Happening Now. Doing Nothing Wrong? That's Exactly What God Warned About | Zephaniah 2 : 1-8
The nations that came against YHWH's land were warned 2,600 years ago — and so were His own people who thought belief alone made them safe. Both got the same answer.
"If God's own people could break the first two commandments — mixing the worship of other gods with their faith in Him — and still feel completely righteous, what 'harmless' loyalties might we be blending into our faith without ever noticing?"

Did Paul the Apostle really teach against observing the holy days? This breakdown analyzes Paul’s writings to see if he truly disregarded the Sabbath and Passover.

We examine how these teachings align with the example set by Yeshua/Jesus Christ, who kept every biblical feasts, taught in synagogues on the Sabbath, and upheld the Law of Moses in the Sermon on the Mount.

You Say You Love God — But Not Obeying His Food Laws Proves Otherwise 06/13/2026

Tom Bradford from RE-Visited teaching on the book of Romans. You Say You Love God — But Not Obeying His Food Laws Proves Otherwise. Don't Destroy Your Brother Over Things God Calls Disputable | Romans 14:14-23 & 15:1
Loving God and skipping the commands you don't like is a contradiction — and so is using those same commands to tear down a brother. Which one are you more guilty of?
If you can't claim to love someone while ignoring what they ask of you — why do we accept that logic with God but call it "grace"? And when you've judged another believer over a disputable thing, were you defending the truth, or just defending yourself?

How do you know when the Holy Spirit is speaking to you — and not the Adversary, or even your own thoughts?

This is one of the most important questions any believer can ask, and gives a direct biblical answer:

You test it against God’s written Word.

Jesus and the law are inseparable on this point. Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to abolish the Torah — and without that foundation, believers have no objective reference point to verify what they are hearing.

If you believe the Holy Spirit will tell you something different from what God’s written Word says, the Bible is clear: you don’t yet know God or His Word.

Only trust in Messiah is needed for salvation — but Jesus and the law work together to protect believers from deception, false spirits and their own assumptions. This teaching challenges one of the most common and dangerous assumptions in modern Christianity.

06/11/2026

In Matthew 5:17, Jesus made one of the most direct statements in all of Scripture: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish but to complete.”

Yet the modern Church teaches the opposite — that the Law of Moses is dead and gone, replaced by grace through faith. examines the growing gap between what Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 and what Christianity has practiced for centuries. If Jesus said the Law would never pass away until heaven and earth disappear — who decided it had?

And why has the Church quietly shifted its emphasis away from the Gospels and toward Paul’s letters instead? This is the question most believers were never encouraged to ask.

2 Thessalonians 2 warns that before the Day of the Lord comes, the Antichrist will be revealed as “the man of lawlessness.” But whose law is Paul referring to? Roman law? American law?

argues the only biblically coherent answer is the Laws of Moses — God’s Torah. This has a direct and urgent consequence: if believers don’t know the Laws of Moses, they may not recognize the Antichrist when he appears.

His defining characteristic isn’t political rebellion or social chaos — it’s his rejection of God’s commands and definitions of good and evil. This is one of the most overlooked prophecy teachings in Scripture, and it changes how we understand both the end times and our responsibility as believers today.

The Rapture Won't Save You From This — Day of The Lord | Zephaniah 1:12-18 & 2:1 06/09/2026

Tom Bradford from latest teaching on the book of Zephaniah. The Rapture Won't Save You From This and God Is Searching for the Comfortable - Day of The Lord. | Zephaniah 1:12-18 & 2:1
Zephaniah says YHWH searches Jerusalem with lamps - He's not looking past the comfortable, He's looking for them.
If the people YHWH hunts with a lamp aren't the openly wicked but the comfortably indifferent - the ones who believe but live as if He's irrelevant - which group does the average churchgoer actually fall into today?
