We’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Kemper County Partners in Hope who raised an amazing total of $33,400.00 for the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund. This hard-working group sold t-shirts, collected sponsorships from local businesses, and held events throughout the year to achieve this remarkable result. We are so grateful to the generous individuals and community organizations who help make the cancer journey a little bit lighter for patients in need. Every dollar donated to the benevolence fund helps local cancer patients who are experiencing a financial hardship during their cancer treatment at Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson. The physicians and staff at Baptist Cancer Center–Anderson would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the cancer survivors who joined us for our 13th Annual Handprints of Hope event! 114 survivors placed their handprint on the canvas, creating a powerful display of strength and solidarity. This canvas will serve as a beacon of encouragement for patients currently undergoing treatment. We were truly inspired by your presence and honored to hear your stories of courage and hope. In honor of National Cancer Survivors Month, Baptist Cancer Center-Anderson is hosting the 13th annual “Handprints of Hope” event Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 4.

Cancer survivors are invited to stop by the Cancer Center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to add their handprint and years of survivorship to a special canvas that will be displayed in their honor and serve as encouragement to other patients on their journey.
