A Box Full of Memories ❤️
Linda Martin’s Story of Kindness, Memories, and a Little “God Thing”
“I’ve got the sweetest story for y’all!
I was scrolling through photos the other day on a post promoting the Trash & Treasures Sale by Merrehope and came upon a picture of this box that would be at the sale. It’s nothing fancy — just a box — but y’all, I immediately recognized it as one my parents made over 40 years ago.
My dad made the box, and my mom did the carving on the top. They made a few of these and sold them at craft shows, but I had one that sat proudly on my dresser until it was stolen during a burglary of my home in 1990.
I wasn’t able to attend Merrehope’s early bird sale on Friday, but I went early Saturday… and of course, the box was gone.
Later, I saw another Facebook post promoting the half-off sale on Sunday, and I commented that I wished I could’ve come Friday. I even added a screenshot of the box from their previous post.
Well, the young lady who had bought it saw my comment and contacted me. I met her this morning, and she insisted on giving me the box free of charge.
Is that a “God thing” or what???
— Linda Martin
Natilie Hughes Puckett , you will never know how much this means to me. It’s only a box, and it appears empty, but it holds a whole lot of memories.
Thank you again for your kindness. ❤️
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians 5:22 NKJV”
