This evening, Boise Valley Railroad will be conducting an emergency repair at the Meridian Road railroad crossing.

During the repair, Meridian Road will be closed between Railroad Street (south of Broadway Avenue) and Bower Street.

The closure will begin after the evening commute, and the road is expected to be back open by Tuesday morning.

Commuters should use Broadway Avenue and Main Street as a detour during the road closure.

The American Red Cross recently shared they are in great need of blood donations. We are hosting a blood drive on August 13 at the Meridian Public Safety Training Center. Phase one of the E Idaho Ave. project is complete! Crews are working on Phase Two, which will see E Idaho Ave. closed from the east side of 2nd Street to the intersection of 3rd. The closure is expected to last through July 15.
